Welcome to our revamped “Crowdfunding Corner” rounding up some of the latest crowdfunding news. We’re going beyond just announcement projects, we’ll be tracking to make sure these projects get delivered as well as what we think the “risk” of backing them are.
We’ll be updating the format as we get a better handle of the needs of this sort of coverage, so stay tuned and check out the first round of projects!
Let Me Fix You: Quirky, Sweet Yuri Manga by Sakura Kurihara
Publisher: BluPetal Media
Creative Team: Sakura Kurihara
Launch Date: Currently funding – ends April 11 2026 7:53 AM EDT
Risk: Medium – With the first crowdfunding campaign, it’s always worth some caution, but the amount for a physical copy is very low.
Let Me Fix You (Kimi wo Tsumugu) is a critically acclaimed Yuri manga that blends the macabre with the deeply tender. The story follows Tsumugi, a quiet, skilled seamstress who finds herself in the company of Chise—a girl who is not quite alive, yet not quite gone.
As Tsumugi mends Chise’s physical form with careful stitches, a delicate bond forms between the living and the undead. It is a story about the labor of love, the beauty of the “broken,” and the lengths we go to for the people who make us feel whole.
Bringing a beautiful title like Let Me Fix You to a new audience is a labor of love—much like Tsumugu’s care for Chise! While the story is complete, the process of high-quality translation, professional lettering, and premium printing requires a significant upfront investment.
By backing this Kickstarter, you aren’t just buying a book; you are helping us:
- Secure Licensing & Artist Support: Ensuring the original creator is fairly compensated for this new edition.
- Ensure High Production Values: We want this book to feel substantial in your hands, from the paper quality to the amazing bonus stories we’ll be able to include if we hit our stretch goals.
- Create Exclusive Merch: Items like the acrylic standees and the art postcards are only possible if we can order them in a large enough “batch.”
Every pledge helps us bridge the gap between a digital file and a beautiful physical volume that will stay “stitched” together on your shelf for years to come.

Publisher: Broken Oar Comics
Creative Team: (w) Nicholas Doan (a) Eryn Tompsett
Launch Date: Currently funding – ends April 24 2026 12:57 PM EDT
Risk: Low – The publisher has run previous crowdfunding campaigns and they’ve been delivered.
Nicholas Doan and Eryn Tompsett are ready to storm the galaxy with this new all-ages adventure!
When tasked by Space Commander “Mom” to watch after her little brother, Mikey, Daisy Cassidy thinks it’ll be a breeze. After all, as a self proclaimed Space Adventurer, she should be able to handle his mischievous antics.
But when Mikey proves to be too much of a handful for his older sister and escapes the house, he finds himself abducted by aliens! To prove her responsibility and to save her brother, Daisy must set out on an epic space rescue, through different planets, different trials, and all before her parents return from the space opera!
Daisy Cassidy is a science fiction adventure for young readers, filled to the brim with humor, suspense, friendship and of course, SPACE! A passion project between veteran writer Nicholas Doan (Monster Elementry, Misfit Island) and emerging artist Eryn Tompsett (RPG Comics), this romp through the stars has homages to old science fiction classics while bringing a new spin for the newest generation of Space Adventurers.
After the successful release of two of Monster Elementary graphic novels, both of which won medals at the Independent Publisher Book Awards, Misfit Island and the mature readers hits, The Kid and The Ripper and Pray For Death, Writer and Creator Nicholas Doan is back with a brand new, original comic!
Those who have followed Broken Oar Comics’ publishing slate may have seen Daisy before. “I released limited edition versions of issues 1 and 2 to gage the interest and I’m happy to say I had no difficulty selling out. Issue 3 will make it’s debut in this campaign and issues 4 and 5 will come later in the year.” – Nick
But that’s not the end of the excitement. According to Nick, Daisy Cassidy will be entering the direct market later in the year. “Once all 5 issues are complete, I will start soliciting the series to shops through Philbo Distribution. This Kickstarter campaign will allow readers to get the first look at Daisy’s adventures.”
Nicholas Doan has run five highly successful Kickstarter campaigns. Combined, they have raised over $60,000.
