Doctor Doom Journeys to the End of Time and Space to Claim his Crowing Glory in Doomquest!

This May, behold what makes Doctor Doom Marvel’s greatest supervillain in Doomquest, a ten-issue maxi-series written by current Fantastic Four scribe Ryan North, following his masterful work on Doom in One World Under Doom, and acclaimed artist Francesco Mobili.

No one in Marvel Comics history has had greater triumphs—or more bitter defeats—than Doctor Doom. Now, see him embark on his most ambitious quest yet in this definitive new Doom saga from two industry superstars. A standalone, evergreen story, Doomquest provides a perfect introduction and all-encompassing exploration of the character as he journeys through time to achieve glory for Latveria—and the ultimate victory over his archenemy Reed Richards! It’s a wild and adventurous odyssey that takes readers into the heart of Victor Von Doom, across the edges of reality, into action-packed battles you can’t see anywhere else, and beyond! Fans can get a sneak peek at the series by picking up Armageddon/X-Men #1 CGD 2026 on May 2, Comics Giveaway Day, at their participating local comic shop.

THE DAYS OF DOOM!

Doctor Victor Von Doom is a great scientist, an unparalleled sorcerer and the ruler of his own nation.  He is, by any measure, a great man. And yet Doom wants more. And when Reed Richards – Mister Fantastic, his greatest enemy and eternal rival – is showcased at a prestigious international event to which Doom wasn’t even invited, Doom is outraged.

Reed shares his plan for his eventual retirement project: the total optimization of history. He intends to go back in time, to all the eras humanity wasted on war and conflict, and fix them, saving trillions of lives and ensuring humanity can achieve its greatest and final glory. The idea of Reed rewriting history in his own image is, of course, antithetical to Doom, and so he decides to do it before Reed does. But when the Fantastic Four intervene, Doom finds himself in a battle he never intended – across all of time and space!

Since it was announced, the mysterious series has kept fans guessing over which magical hero would receive the mantle. It has now been revealed along with the series’ creative team!

Wanda Maximoff has been many things, a mother, an Avenger and the Scarlet Witch. Now, Wanda claims a new title: Sorcerer Supreme! Defying tradition and breaking every rule, Scarlet Witch charts a bold, new path as the Sorcerer Supreme! But will her rebellious approach to the role bring magic in the Marvel Universe to new heights or leave it in ruin?

The Vishanti, unwilling to validate Wanda’s claim, anoint their own Sorcerer Supreme—AGATHA HARKNESS! Following a fiery battle with her former mentor, Wanda wakes up in Limbo where nothing is as it seems. And if she’s going to escape, she must first defeat its ruler…MADELYNE PRYOR! Rose Besch, Richard Case, Tony Fleecs, Bob Hall, Klaus Janson, and James Robinson are coming to Baltimore Comic Con

The 2025 Baltimore Comic-Con returns on October 17-19 to the Inner Harbor’s Baltimore Convention Center. The Baltimore Comic-Con announces comics creators Rose Besch, Richard Case, Tony Fleecs, Bob Hall, Klaus Janson, and James Robinson as guests of the 2025 event. Tickets can be purchased online now.

Rose Besch is a Korean-American artist based in the US, creating lavish, modern illustrations and fashionable characters for apparel, comics, films, games, and toys. She’s worked with clients like Marvel, DC, Mattel, and Lootcrate, and her work has been featured in exhibitions in the US and Japan.

Richard Case has been illustrating comics for more than 30 years. His run on Doom Patrol with writer Grant Morrison inspired much of the recent TV series seen on HBO Max. He has also illustrated a number of books, including SandmanPreacherShade the Changing ManHunter: Age of MagicDr. StrangeSensational Spider-Man, and Batman ‘66. He is currently a Lead Concept Artist for Ubisoft/Red Storm Entertainment. Follow on Instagram @richardcaseillustration

Tony Fleecs is a prolific and critically acclaimed comic book creator. His work has sold hundreds of thousands of copies in the United States and has been translated and reprinted all over the world. Tony’s creator-owned books include the Eisner Award-nominated Stray Dogs (2021), Jeff Steinberg: Champion of Earth (2016), In My Lifetime (2006), and Time Shopper (2022). You’ve seen Tony’s art on some of your favorite titles like Star Wars, Avengers, Batman, TMNTRick & MortyTransformers, and just a literal TON of My Little Pony.

Bob Hall had a long association with Marvel Comics, where at one time or another he drew most of the major books and characters such as The ChampionsSpider-ManDr. DoomConanThorThe Fantastic FourThe SubmarinerCaptain AmericaPSI ForceThe Avengers, and The New Mutants. He was the artist for the West Coast Avengers mini-series and was the primary artist on the original Squadron Supreme. He drew movie adaptations of WillowDark Man, and the notorious first Captain America movie, as well as pencils and inks for the graphic novel, Emperor Doom. Bob was an editor at Marvel in 1979. For Valiant, he wrote and penciled the monthly series Shadowman, wrote Timewalker, and then created Armed and Dangerous, a black and white “comicbook-noir” series. For DC, he wrote and drew the Batman graphic novel projects Batman DOAI Joker, and It’s Jokertime. Recently, he has been creating educational comics that have tackled measles, mosquitoes, COVID-19, and vaccine hesitancy. Bob is a member of the National Cartoonists Society, Actors Equity Association, and the Society for Directors and Choreographers. His work can be seen at www.bobhall.com. Commissions and original art are available through www.catskillcomics.com. He can be messaged on Facebook.

Klaus Janson was born in 1952 in Coburg, Germany, and came to America in 1957. As a child growing up in Connecticut, he learned how to read and write the English language almost exclusively from Lois Lane and Superman comics. Even at that early age, delusions of competence overtook him and he would cut apart the comics and paste them onto paper to construct new stories. This eventually led to the notion that drawing the stories outright and preserving the comics might be a more efficient way of approaching this medium. A valuable and life saving apprenticeship with his mentor Dick Giordano encouraged him to continue. After many summers of portfolio reviews and rejections, Marvel Comics offered a part time office job applying grey tones to the black and white horror comic reprints that were glutting the market. Two things happened that would change that: Daredevil and teaching at The School of Visual Arts. Daredevil with Frank Miller in the mid-1980s was a rare opportunity for two artists to work unconstrained by the typical expectations or oversight of corporate thinking. An anomaly for mainstream publishing, Daredevil was a struggle between artistic instinct and intellect that, at its best, resulted in that perfect balance. The other step forward was teaching at The School of Visual Arts. Klaus believes that communication is the most powerful tool human beings possess. That ability to communicate can come in many forms but at its root is called storytelling. Klaus lives in New York, where he writes, draws, inks, and colors, and teaches comics.

James Robinson was born in Great Britain but has lived in the U.S. since 1989 where he began working in comics initially for DC and Dark Horse Comics. Among his more known and regarded works are Grendel Tales: Four Devils, One Hell, sundry Legends of the Dark Knight arcs, SupermanJustice League of AmericaBatmanDetective Comics, Wonder Woman, and Earth 2. He is perhaps most well-known for his award-winning runs on both Starman and Leave It To Chance.

After a long working relationship with DC Comics, James made the switch to Marvel Comics where he wrote All-New Invaders, the Fantastic FourNick Fury, and the Scarlet Witch among other titles. He also wrote Airboy for Image Comics, and Grand Passion and Felix Leiter for Dynamite Comics.

James work in films includes scripts for every major studio, including The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for 20th Century Fox. He also wrote and directed the black comedy Comic Book Villains for Goldcrest. In TV, James was a writer/co-exec producer on Stargirl for the WB for three seasons.

After that, he returned to comics with several creator-owned series for Dark Horse including ‘PatraWelcome To The MaynardLos Monstruos, and The Adventures of Lumen N. He is also writing an on-going Kickstarter comic, Rogues’ Kingdom.

His first novel, The Singular Pair will be published this year.

James resides in Las Vegas with his wife Alyson and their dogs.

With the world on the brink of collapse, Matt Murdock takes a final stand in Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell

This April, superstar creators Charles Soule and Steve McNiven reunite in Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell, a prestige three-issue limited series. Soule’s acclaimed 2015 Daredevil run influenced Marvel Television’s upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again, and McNiven’s monumental work on Old Man Logan made it one of Wolverine’s most powerful stories. Now, they team up to change the way you look at the Man Without Fear in this visionary new saga!

Set in a grim future, Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell introduces a grizzled, older, and virtually powerless Matt Murdock. No longer operating as a super hero, Matt still finds ways to help others in a world more unjust than ever, but when a catastrophe miraculously restores his enhanced senses, he’s able to take the fight to where it matters most as Daredevil. Fans can see the main covers for all three issues along with all five variant covers for the debut issue, including a new piece by legendary Daredevil storyteller Frank Miller.

Check out the covers by Steve McNiven, Frank Miller, Rose Besch, Ben Harvey, Leinil Francis Yu, and John Romita Jr., and preorder Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #1 at your local comic shop today!

Doctor Doom’s rule begins in One World Under Doom #1

Since Blood Hunt concluded with Doctor Doom seizing the power of Sorcerer Supreme for himself, the Marvel Universe has waited with bated breath for the iconic supervillain’s next move. This February, the wait is over as Doctor Doom takes control of the entire world in a status quo-shattering event, ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM!

Teased throughout the year, “One World Under Doom” was formally announced last month at New York Comic Con. Fans learned that the event will be anchored by a core One World Under Doom series launching in February. This nine-issue event series will written by Ryan North, whose run on Fantastic Four will be heavily impacted by One World Under Doom, drawn by R.B. Silva, and colors by David Curiel. While Doom’s bold reach for power brings change to the entire Marvel Universe, One World Under Doom takes readers behind the mask as they bear witness to the triumphs and trials of Doom’s rule, as well as the foolish attempts to topple it.

Check out all-new variant covers for One World Under Doom #1, including pieces by superstar artists like John Tyler Christopher, Nick Bradshaw, Rod Reis, Will Sliney, Rose Besch, Mike Mignola, and R.B. Silva. Plus, never-before-seen interior artwork shows the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and more of Earth’s heroes assemble as they prepare their first strike against the world’s new ultimate authority.

ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM!

Six months ago, Doctor Victor Von Doom became Sorcerer Supreme – then disappeared behind Latveria’s closed borders. For most, there’s enough going on in the world that Doom’s absence is not a priority, and some time without him feels like a blessing. Only a few recognize it for what it truly was… the calm before the storm. It is a storm that has now arrived. The world has woken up to a new reality: Doctor Doom, Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme, has magically taken over every broadcast medium on the planet and declared himself Emperor of the World – the ruler of a new United Latveria! And shockingly, impossibly, all of Earth’s leaders seem to be going along with this. Luckily, whether it’s mind control or Doombots, whatever’s affecting them hasn’t affected Earth’s heroes – and so they quickly form a strike team to stop Doom’s machinations. But will they succeed? And what happens when some begin to welcome their new Emperor with open arms, clamoring for One World Under Doom?

“One World Under Doom” is an overarching status quo shift coming to Marvel Comics, the likes of which haven’t been seen since 2008’s Dark Reign. It’s a shocking and upending turn of events that will impact Marvel’s entire line of comics and see the launch of tie-in series and one-shots, collectively forming an era worthy of comic books’ greatest supervillain! Check out the new covers and artwork and stay tuned more ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM news later this week!
