Eternals Takes the Top of the Box Office Continuing Marvel’s Dominance
Eternals was the top of the weekend box office earning an estimated $71 million. It continues Marvel’s dominance with its films holding the top five debuts of the year. The film also earned $90.7 million at the international box office delivering a worldwide debut of $161.7 million. While the debut was on the lower end for Marvel this year, it’s still one of the best of the year as a whole.
Dune dipped to second place adding $7.6 million to its domestic total bringing that to $83.9 million. Over the week, the film added $19.5 million to its international total to bring that to $246.5 million.
No Time to Die held steady in third place adding $6.2 million. Domestically, the film has earned $143.2 million. Internationally, the film earned around $51.9 million to bring its international total to $524.3 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $667.5 million after its first month.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage improved to fourth place with an estimated $4.5 million. Its domestic total now stands at $197 million. Over the week, the film added about $22.2 million to its international total to bring that to $227.6 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $242.6 million.
Ron’s Gone Wrong rounded out the top five earning an estimated $3.6 million in its third week to bring its domestic total to $17.6 million. The film has also grossed $28.9 million at the international box office to bring its worldwide total to $46.5 million.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission dropped from fourth place to eleventh spiraling 75.2%. It earned an estimated $1.6 million to bring its domestic total to $9.8 million. Internationally, the film added about $400,000 over the week to bring that to $29,802,371 and its worldwide gross to $39.6 million.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings grossed an estimated $502,000 million to bring its domestic total to $223.8 million. The film also grossed about $3.2 million at the international box office where it now stands out $204.1 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $427.9 million.
Black Widow looks like it has ended its domestic run. Domestically, the film has grossed a little under $183.7 million. The international total has gained a little and stands at $196 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $379.6 million.
Old looks like its run has completely ended. Domestically, the film has grossed $48.2 million. Internationally, the film stood at $41.9 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a little over $90.1 million.
The Suicide Squad remained steady during the week. Domestically, the film has grossed $55.8 million. The film has also earned $111.6 million internationally. Worldwide, the film has grossed $167.4 million.
Initial numbers have 40 films earning $109,528,413 from 32,960 theaters. That’s a massive increase from last weekend’s 43 films which earned $64,461,210 from 34,678 theaters. The average earning was $3,323 this past weekend, an increase from the previous weekend’s $1,858.85.
