Rob Liefeld’s Netflix Deal is Done

Extreme Universe

Announced in March 2018, Rob Liefeld had cut an option deal with Netflix to bring his Extreme Universe of comics to the digital movie and show service. The deal covered six comic series with over 50 characters.

Not even a year later and that deal is done. Liefeld has announced that he has taken Extreme “elsewhere” that’s a “better deal and fit.”

Judging by the somewhat cryptic Tweets, it sounds like part of whatever deal was cut would be more likely to keep his creations together instead of having them walled off as seemed to be the case previously.

Currently he has a movie based on Prophet being worked on from Studio 8 and last we heard Paramount was developing a film based on Avengelyne.
