Hela and Knull’s Cosmic Collision Unleashes Hel on Earth in Queen in Black!

This summer, Queen in Black, a five-issue event series by mastermind writer Al Ewing and superstar artist Iban Coello, conquers the Marvel Universe!

Queen in Black spins out of Ewing’s acclaimed work on Venom as well as the new Knull limited series that saw Hela seize Knull’s throne, forcing the God of the Void to claim a new power for himself. Their conflict erupts across the cosmos, coming to a head on Earth where Marvel’s heroes are all that stand in the way of the world being torn asunder by the forces of Light and Dark, both bent on enveloping the universe in their own brand of nothingness! In addition to the core series centered around Spider-Man, Venom, Mary Jane, Eddie Brock, and Dylan Brock, new tie-in series will see Queen in Black’s impact on other corners of the Marvel Universe.

To celebrate the launch of the summer’s biggest event, Queen in Black #1 will be available in Marvel’s new True Believers Blind Bags. They give fans a chance to purchase the issue in special sealed bags, but unlike previous True Believer Blind Bags, Queen in Black #1 True Believers Blind Bags will only contain exclusive variant covers not available for regular ordering. The main cover and regular open-to-order variant covers cannot be found in True Believers Blind Bags, making it the most exciting and rewarding True Believers Blind Bag experience yet! Mary Jane Watson and Knull Suit Up for Queen in Black!

This summer, Hela conquers the Marvel Universe in Queen in Black, an all-new crossover event spinning out of the current run of Venom by Al Ewing and Carlos Gómez and the newly launched Knull limited series by Ewing, Tom Waltz, and Juanan Ramírez. Ahead of Queen in Black’s official announcement, fans can check out upcoming covers for both Venom and Knull that reveal key developments for the event, including all-new costumes for Mary Jane Watson, cementing her bond with the Venom symbiote, and Knull, befitting the God of the Abyss’ all-new power source—LIGHT.

Spinning out of Peter, MJ, and Venom’s confrontation in May’s Venom #258, Mary Jane’s new costume debuts in Venom #259 this June. In the aftermath of Death Spiral, Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker have a long overdue heart-to-heart…but when the masks go on, Venom and Spider-Man have some unfinished business! Now that her secret is out, MJ fully embraces her symbiote strength, leading to a BIG change for Venom and MJ’s bond!

LET THERE BE LIGHT! In Knull #5, the final issue of the series, Knull has conquered the Lightforce Dimension and left his dastardly eternal mark in SUPERNOVA fashion! But wait!
