The Remastered Turok Trilogy is now Complete with Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion

Oblivion has arisen! The Flesh Eaters have come to terrorize the world and let chaos reign! This cannot stand. The finale to one of gaming’s most iconic trilogies is here.

Nightdive Studios — in collaboration with Universal Games and Digital Platforms — have announced that Turok 3: Shadow Oblivion is now available on PC and PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles. 

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is a faithful restoration of the classic first-person shooter initially released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64, upgraded through Nightdive Studios’ proprietary KEX Engine for play on modern gaming devices with up to a 4K resolution at 120FPS. It joins Nightdive Studios’ popular remasters of Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, capping off the trilogy. 

The title features upgraded gameplay, high-resolution textures, enhanced lighting and rendering, and support for console gamepads with platform-specific features. It is also the first game from Nightdive Studios built on the latest version of the KEX engine, which utilizes an improved renderer to achieve a higher tier of visual fidelity across 3D models, textures, and graphical effects.

In Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, players choose between dual protagonists Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, siblings of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil protagonist Joshua Fireseed. Together, they must defeat the titular antagonist Oblivion and its followers, the Flesh Eaters, after the supposed demise of their brother at its hands.

Nightdive Studios and Valiant Entertainment have announce their smash-hit title, Shadow Man: Remastered, is now available on Amazon Luna’s brand-new Retro Channel.
 
Amazon Luna is a cloud-based gaming service that offers subscribers a range of titles across Windows PC, Mac, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, Chromebooks, and on mobile for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The newly launched Retro Channel features a range of classic titles that now includes Nightdive’s Shadow Man: Remastered, which currently sits at an “Overwhelmingly Positive” review metric on Steam with 700+ reviews.

Shadow Man: Remastered Gets a Physical Release through Limited Run Games

Limited Run Games — publisher and distributor of limited physical game releases — has opened pre-orders for standard and collector’s edition copies of Shadow Man: Remastered for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Limited Run Games’ Shadow Man: Remastered collector’s edition includes a Nintendo 64-inspired outer box, a non-functioning Nintendo 64 cartridge for display, an 18×24” double-sided poster, and the Shadow Man game soundtrack on CD.

It’s time to go back to Deadside. Nightdive Studios and Valiant Entertainment have announced that Shadow Man: Remastered is available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X consoles and The Nintendo Switch. 

Shadow Man: Remastered is an updated version of the cult-classic originally developed by Acclaim Studios and published on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Dreamcast in 1999. Nightdive Studios has lovingly upgraded the Voodoo Noir action-adventure game with 4K widescreen support, dynamic shadow mapping, and never-before-seen content previously cut from the original game. 

Shadow Man: Remastered takes the cult classic and brings it to modern gaming platforms with modern trappings like 4K widescreen support, anti-aliasing, and a host of other stunning improvements. Shadow Man: Remastered on consoles takes full advantage of each system’s unique functionality, including Achievement / Trophy support on PlayStation and Xbox, and gyro-aiming on Nintendo Switch.

Attention passenger, your return trip to the not-so-sunny land of Deadside has an official date! Remaster-aficionados Nightdive Studios have announced their updated version of the ‘90s classic, Shadow Man: Remastered, releases on April 15, 2021, on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store! 

Originally released in 1999 for the PC, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Dreamcast, Shadow Man: Remastered follows Michael LeRoi, the current holder of the voodoo warrior moniker “Shadow Man”, as he battles the forces of darkness attempting to cross-over from their realm into the world of the living. Valiant Announces Changes to their Structure

Valiant has announced that it is restructuring its New York and Los Angeles offices to bring their publishing, tv, and film projects closer together.

The New York offices are moving to a new location that is currently under construction and will open in Fall 2020. The company has been working remotely since Mid-March due to COVID-19. Some rumors have swirled around the closing of their current NY office.

In Los Angeles, Valiant has hired comic industry veteran David Wohl as a Senior Editor.

The company has revealed some recent plans including the return of X-O Manowar in November with long-awaited X-O Manowar #2.

In March, the publisher announced a remastered 1999 Shadowman game from Nightdive Studios. They are also working with Blowfish Studios to develop new video games featuring characters from the Valiant universe.

This is on top of the release of Bloodshot, the film released by Sony in theaters and soon after on demand due to the pandemic, the continued work on Harbinger which is still slated to be released in 2021, and Faith: Taking Flight a young adult novel published by an imprint of HarperCollins.

Valiant Entertainment has partnered with Nightdive Studios to develop a remastered edition of the classic action-adventure video game Shadowman. The remastered edition will be coming to Windows PC via the Steam and GOG platforms, as well as to the PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch consoles. This partnership continues Valiant’s expansion into other mediums in addition to publishing.
