Hello Kitty graphic novel artist Jacob Chabot and Max Steelgraphic novel writer Tom Pinchuk. The young and the young-at-heart can also learn more about VIZ Media’s kid’s titles and upcoming plans during a special “Kids Comics: Here to Stay!” panel discussion. VIZ Media will release additional details on all of its Kid’s Day activities.

Moderated by author/librarian and Good Comics for Kids contributor Scott Robins, the panel features Eisner-nominated BABYMOUSE creator and CBLDF board member Jennifer Holm, UGLYDOLL co-creator David Horvath, artists Ian McGinty (UGLYDOLL, HELLO KITTY) and Jolyon Yates (NINJAGO), VIZ Media editor Traci Todd (HELLO KITTY, UGLYDOLL), and Jesse Post, Director of Marketing for Papercutz.

VIZ Media Launches Neon Alley Anime Channel on Xbox 360

Neon Alley is VIZ Media’s new 24-hour, subscription-based anime channel featuring the world’s best titles (dubbed in English and uncut) and presented in HD (when available) for a low monthly subscription rate of only $6.99. Starting today, Neon Alley can be downloaded directly from the Xbox LIVE marketplace for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers.

Voice control and voice search via Kinect for Xbox 360 allows for all new ways to interact with Neon Alley content. For a limited time only, the game console based-service is offering a one-week free trial available to all fans who sign up at NeonAlley.com.

Neon Alley’s schedule includes a diverse mix of action, adventure, sci-fi, supernatural, fantasy, and horror anime. Neon Alley carries weekly exclusive episodes of Blue Exorcist, Inuyasga: The Final Act, Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-Ne, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, and Tiger & Bunny. VIZ Media Brings High Seas Anime Pirate Series One Piece To Neon Alley

VIZ Media continues the digital anime convergence as it announces that Toei Animation has licensed the celebrated pirate anime action/adventure series, One Piece, for broadcast on Neon Alley, the new 24-hour anime channel VIZ Media is launching this Fall exclusively to the Playstation Network and the PS3 game console. Episodes to air on Neon Alley will be presented uncut and with dubbed English dialogue.

Neon Alley, featuring the world’s best anime titles all dubbed and uncut in English and presented in HD (when available), is the first platform designed to be studio agnostic, with a diverse array of titles from other leading anime producers and distributors. Programming will include weekly exclusive premieres of hit titles fans love, alongside a mix of new, cutting edge titles they didn’t know they were missing. One Piece is based on a massively popular manga series created by Eiichiro Oda, that is also published in North America by VIZ Media.

There will also be newer titles like Tiger & Bunny, Beserk: The Golden Age Arc, Zetman and Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. There will also be original content showing news and behind-the-scenes access for anime and manga fans.

Neon Alley will be a subscription-based service, subsidized with limited commercial advertising, to keep the launch price to consumers at a low $6.99 per month. SDCC 2012 – VIZ Media Heads to San Diego Comic-Con

VIZ Media is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2012 with an exciting and expansive roster of special personal appearances, exciting panels, anime feature film premieres, and fun giveaways and convention exclusives. They’ll be located in booth #2813.

On Friday July 13th catch a rare personal appearance by Eiko Tanaka, Founder and CEO of Studio 4ºC, which produced the new dark fantasy epic Berserk: The Golden Age Arc film trilogy. VIZ Media will release the first movie on Neon Alley this fall. Ms. Tanaka will make an in-person appearance at the VIZ Media booth for a signing session at 3PM. She will also be a special guest at the Berserk Panel, 5:30PM in Room 32AB, where fans can find out what it really takes to transform the stark manga into an animated feature. Finally, Ms. Tanaka will make introductory remarks at the exclusive Comic-Con screening of Beserk: The Golden Age Arc I – The Egg of the King, 8:30PM in Room 32AB.

The recently announced Neon Alley will be featured at Comic-Con. A brand new 24-hour digital anime channel launching on a major game platform this fall, Neon Alley will feature the world’s best anime titles, including blockbusters Blue Exorcist, Naruto Shippuden, Tiger & Bunny and more.
