Dune Repeats in First Place as it’s a Repeat of 1, 2, 3

This weekend box office looked a lot like the previous weekend as the top three films all repeated in the same place. Dune took the top spot with an estimated $15.5 million. Even with a steep 62.1% drop from the previous weekend, the film still easily won the weekend. After two weeks, the movie has grossed $69.4 million domestically. Internationally, the film added about $46.4 million over the week to bring that to an even $227 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $296.4 million after two weeks.

In second place was Halloween Kills which grossed an estimated $8.5 million, a 41.2% drop from the previous week. The film has now grossed $85.6 million after three weeks. Over the week, the film grossed about $11.6 million internationally to bring that total to $29.5 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $115.1 million.

No Time to Die held on to third place dipping 35.9% from the previous week and grossing $7.8 million. It has now earned $133.3 million domestically. Internationally, the film has grossed $66.8 million over the week to bring that total to $472.4 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $605.8 million.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission came in fourth place in its debut week. The film grossed an estimated $6.4 million in its first week. Internationally, the film grossed $29,387,202 to bring its worldwide gross to $35.8 million.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage round out the top five. The film grossed $5.8 million domestically to bring that total to $190.4 million. Internationally, the film grossed $34.8 million over the week to bring its total to $205.4 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $395.8 million.

In comic films…

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings grossed an estimated $1.1 million to bring its domestic total to $222.8 million. The film also grossed about $4.2 million at the international box office where it now stands out $200.8 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $423.6 million. The film currently stands at #7 for the year, about $44 million behind Godzilla vs. Kong.

Black Widow looks like it has ended its domestic run. Domestically, the film has grossed a little under $183.7 million. The international total has gained a little and stands at $196 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $379.6 million.

Old looks like its run has completely ended. Domestically, the film has grossed $48.2 million. Internationally, the film stood at $41.9 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a little over $90.1 million.

The Suicide Squad remained steady during the week. Domestically, the film has grossed $55.8 million. The film has also earned $111.6 million internationally. Worldwide, the film has grossed $167.4 million.

Initial numbers have 43 films earning $64,461,210 from 34,678 theaters. That’s a massive dip from last weekend’s 45 films which earned $95,923,101 from 29,995 theaters. The average earning was $1,858.85 this past weekend, a big drop from the previous weekend’s $3,197.97.
