Mutant presents the premiere physical release of the Deadpool & Wolverine Original Score on Vinyl

Mutant, in partnership with Hollywood Records and Marvel Studios, presents the premiere physical release of Rob Simonsen‘s score to the blockbuster event of 2024, Marvel Studios‘ Deadpool & Wolverine. And hold on to your chimichangas because this limited edition physical release includes the showstopping “Like A Prayer (Choir Version)” physical media debut.

The tonal balancing act of the Deadpool series is a tightrope to walk – a meta action-comedy with tons of heart and even more vulgarity. Luckily, composer Rob Simonsen rises to the challenge, scoring the highly anticipated third chapter with well-earned confidence. Equal parts explosive and emotional, Simonsen’s debut superhero score is electrifying, occasionally heartbreaking, but always emotionally honest – just like the titular characters.

Mutant presents The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Vinyl and CD

Mutant, in partnership with WaterTower Music, presents the premiere physical release of Stephen Gallagher‘s original score to the animated epic The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, in theaters December 13.

Stephen Gallagher steps into the sonic world that Howard Shore built with comfort and ease, forging a new trail and taking the music of The Lord of the Rings in inspired new directions. This massive and powerful score fits comfortably side by side with Peter Jackson’s original The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The Hobbit Trilogy.

Now available for pre-order at Mutant’s webstore, madebymutant.com, this premiere physical release features liner notes by Producer/Writer Philippa Boyens, Director Kenji Kamiyama and Composer Stephen Gallagher, with 4x 140gm color vinyl housed in a M-Pack double gatefold style jacket or 2x CD housed in a 6-panel digipak with a 24-page booklet.

The Penguin’s soundtrack debuts and available now digitally

WaterTower Music has announced the release of The Penguin (Soundtrack from the HBO Original Series) with music by Mick Giacchino. The soundtrack is available today, on digital platforms, coinciding with the final episode on HBO.

Coming in 2025, Mutant, in partnership with WaterTower Music, present the premiere physical release of Mick Giacchino’s score to the acclaimed series, available on 2x Vinyl, as well as 2x CD. Featuring exclusive original artwork by Henry Abrams, and liner notes by composer Mick Giacchino.

SDCC 2024: Oni Press Presents 2024’s Annual Comic Book Legal Defense Fund San Diego Comic-Con Welcome Party

In partnership with the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF), Oni Press has announced the return of the CBLDF’s annual San Diego Comic-Con Welcome Party at The Westgate Hotel on Thursday, July 25th from 8 PM to midnight PT. This year’s event will mark the release of Oni’s much anticipated Epitaphs from the Abyss #1 – the first official, all-new EC Comics title in nearly 70 years, honoring the work and legacy of legendary EC publisher and free speech pioneer William M. Gaines.

Joining Oni Press – now in their second year as a flagship sponsorship for San Diego’s premier comic industry party and fundraiser in defense of free speech – is an impressive array of co-sponsors from the worlds of comic books, graphic novels, toys, games, collectibles, and more, including the Certified Guaranty Company (CGC), Kickstarter, The Nacelle Company, Mutant, and Maestro Media.  

Together, this impressive assortment of sponsors will each be generously donating an array of limited-edition SDCC collectibles and promotional giveaways for CBLDF Welcome Party gift bags – free to the first 100 attendees who make a donation of $20 or more to benefit the CBLDF at the door. Spin some tunes with the X-Men ’97 Original Soundtrack on Vinyl

Mutant, in collaboration with Hollywood Records and Marvel Animation are proud to present the Newton Brothers‘ score to the hit animated series X-Men ’97 streaming on Disney+.

The highly anticipated series is as fun, thoughtful and emotionally charged as the original X-Men: The Animated Series, while being reimagined for a new generation of fans. But matching the energy, tone of the original was dependent on nailing the sound, and that clearly was top of mind for the series composers The Newton Brothers.

The Newton Brothers have produced an incredibly dynamic collection of music – from tackling the implications of serious political allegories, deep emotional truths, all while still embracing the fantastical surprises present in this universe (such as being sucked into a video game). X-Men ’97 proves you can balance creativity and honoring legacy in interesting and original ways.
