Middlewest: The Complete Tale Hardcover Gets Signed Bookplates

A limited number of adhesive bookplates featuring signatures from both co-creators—writer Skottie Young and artist Jorge Corona—will be available at select comic shops ahead of the highly anticipated Middlewest: The Complete Tale release. This all-in-one hardcover edition will collect the complete, eighteen issue, Eisner Award nominated series, along with exclusive bonus features, and be available from Image Comics this July.

Fans interested in snagging a bookplate with their hardcover purchase, should inquire with their local comic shop for availability.

Middlewest is the story of Abel, a young boy who must navigate an old land in order to reconcile his family’s history. The perfect read for fans of Joe Kelly and Ken Niimura’s I Kill Giants, dark fantasy like Return to Oz, classic Don Bluth animation, and fantastical Miyazaki adventure.

Middlewest: The Complete Tale hardcover (ISBN: 978-1-5343-1910-3, Diamond Code FEB210120) will be available on Wednesday, July 7 and in bookstores on Tuesday, July 13.

Skottie Young and Jorge Corona’s Middlewest #7 Heads Back to Print

Image Comics has announced that Middlewest #7 by Skottie Young and Jorge Corona—which hit stores on the heels of the newsbreak of the series’ 2019 Eisner Award nomination in the “Best Publication for Teens” category—is being rushed back to print to keep up with rapidly growing demand for the hot new series.

Perhaps best described as I Kill Giants meets classic Don Bluth and Miyazaki animations, this dark fantasy series follows Abel, a young boy who must navigate an old land in order to reconcile his family’s history.

The lands between the coasts are vast, slow to change, and full of hidden magics. The town of Farmington has been destroyed, sending an unwitting adventurer and his vulpine companion in search of answers—and to quell a coming storm that speaks his name. Now, just as the chance for a new life was starting to come together, Abel spirals out of control again and his adoptive family gets caught in the storm.

Middlewest #7, second printing (Diamond Code APR198591) will be available on Wednesday, June 26. The final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is Monday, June 3.
