Exclusive: Aftershock reveals its Dogs of London #1 exclusive and more for MCM London

LONDON’S CALLING… and AfterShock is answering the call. The publisher is heading to London for MCM London at the London ExCel. It takes place this weekend, May 27-29. Keep an eye out for Publisher Joe Pruett and the rest of the AfterShock Comics team as they make their first official appearance at this “con across the pond.”

They’re bringing plenty of comics, collected editions and unique offerings for sale all weekend at Stand N1261 – including the convention edition of Dogs of London #1 featuring an exclusive cover by Andy Clarke!

Plus, on Saturday, 28 May at 5:30pm, join them on the Creator Stage for “Read Dangerously: The Aftershock Creators Panel” featuring Peter Milligan, Paul Jenkins and Dave Johnson – and hosted by Joe Pruett himself!

ReedPOP Adds MCM Comic Con to Its Family of Conventions

We had word there was going to be a big announcement from ReedPOP after New York Comic Con and there’s a good chance this is it. The convention management company has acquired MCM Comic Con adding not just a convention but a leader in conventions in the United Kingdom. This will take effect immediately.

MCM Comic Con sees 300,000 fans and cosplayers take part in events in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Belfast.

MCM Comic Con premiered in 2002 and was co-founded by Bryan Cooney and began as London Expo rebranding in 2004 as the London MCM Expo (MCM stands for “Movies, Comics, Media”).
