Manga Mavericks Books Announces a New Manga Series – Tie Me Up, Stare Me Down

Manga Mavericks Books, a manga publisher serving the North American market from Manga Mavericks LLC, has announced a newly licensed title during its online licensing event Manga Mavericks Monday. The latest release is the mature romance series Tie Me Up, Stare Me Down by Zawayuki Taki. The series was originally published in Japan by SHINCHOSHA in three volumes. It will be released as a complete omnibus edition in May 2027 in both print and digital formats for $29.99 in print and $12.99 for digital. The English edition clocks in at 564 pages and intended for readers 16+.

Sawada finds himself crushed by the responsibilities and expectations that come with being in charge of the sales and marketing department of a grocery store chain. One night, when looking for a place to drink and relax, he spots a sign for a “Fetish Bar.” Upon opening the doors to this bar, he’s greeted by the sight of women in bondage! When Nana, the queen of the bar, gives him “special” care, Sawada experiences a sense of liberation and pleasure he never thought possible.

Anime Boston 2026: Manga Mavericks Books Announces New Manga Licenses

Manga Mavericks Books announced two newly licensed titles during its panel at Anime Boston that will be added to its catalog in Q4 2026 and Q1 2027.

The latest releases include the girls’ love school drama series ONI & DAWN: BAKUMATSU HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS by Hana Ikuta (published in Japan by TWO VIRGINS), the first volume of which is scheduled for release in print and digital formats in October 2026, and the award nominated queer drama BALL & CHAIN by Minami Q-ta (published in Japan by MAGAZINE HOUSE), the first volume of which is scheduled for release in both print and digital in a 2-in-1 omnibus format starting in March 2027.

Manga Mavericks Books Debuts the Mecha Action One-Shot Great Metal God

Manga Mavericks, a new manga publisher serving North America, announces the digital debut of the sci-fi fairy tale one-shot Great Metal God by Iwakuni Kogyo, on November 19th. A print edition will debut on December 16th.
