In anticipation of tomorrow’s full trailer for Iron Man 3, Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive first look at actor Ben Kingsley who will play the film’s villain, The Mandarin. In the comic books, The Mandarin is a Chinese exile who discovers a crashed alien spaceship. Inside the ship are ten rings, each with a different power. This version will not follow that backstory and the plot has been described as a “clash of technology.” There’s been hints that this is what the first two films have been leading up to as The Ten Rings is a term for the terrorist group that kidnapped Tony Stark in the first movie, and gave the villain Whiplash some assistance in the sequel.
