Five friends set off to shoot a short film on a forbidden rock in The Cull

Eisner Award winning writer Kelly Thompson and superstar artist Mattia De Iulis team up for their first creator-owned work together in the upcoming horror/coming-of-age story The Cull. This five issue miniseries is set to launch in August from Image Comics.

This exciting launch will also feature variant covers by such top talents as Lorenzo Ceccotti, Michael Walsh, Andrew J. Seles, Chris Shehan, Meredith Mcclaren, Dike Ruan, and Tula Lotay.

Something is Killing the Children horror vibes mix with The Goonies-style adventure as five friends set off to shoot a short film on a forbidden rock near their home the summer before they all go their separate ways. But that’s not really why they’re there. One of them has lied… and it’s a lie that will change their lives forever.

Golem Gets an Animated Trailer

Set in a future, post-Eurozone Italy, entrenched in a culture of hyper-capitalism, Golem follows young Steno Critone as he is kidnapped during a political protest gone sour. Taken in by the band of labeled “terrorists,” he learns that things are not as they seem in society, and that he has the power to not only change the city, but reality itself.

This intensely imaginative political-sci-fi graphic novel is a visual tour de force, created by contemporary design icon Lorenzo Ceccotti, better known as LRNZ, whose design-influenced illustration provides a lush, fluid backdrop of manga-like dynamism with the cinematic scope of western comics, creating a style that is wholly unique and absolutely breathtaking.

Written and illustrated by LRNZ

Trailer animation by LRNZ
Trailer edit produced by Neurobellum Productions
Music by LRNZ and Kikiwest

Original 280 page graphic novel available from magnetic-press.com
