April Showers Bring May Flowers, Vol. 1 is a cute debut with a She’s All That vibe

Pessimistic high school student Hana Tabata doesn’t believe her life could ever be like that of a heroine from the shoujo manga she reads―she’s convinced she’s ugly, and she’s always alone. Still, she can’t help but imagine herself as a leading lady when she’s changing out flowers early one morning…until she’s caught in the act by her handsome classmate Yousuke Ueno! Hana can’t wrap her head around his kind words at first, but as they grow closer, she finds her life slowly beginning to change…

When I Became a Commoner They Broke Off Our Engagement Vol. 2 is a familiar concept done really well

Thirteen-year-old Anna was raised in a noble household, yet she looks nothing like the rest of her family and lacks her lineage’s aptitude for magic. There’s a very good reason for that, though–a mischievous fairy switched her with another baby at birth! When this detail comes to light, Anna’s family kicks her out and ends her long-standing engagement to Edmund, a young nobleman who has always treated her with disdain. With her sheltered, privileged days behind her, how will Anna learn to adapt to life as a commoner with her new family?

Fox Colored Jealousy has its moments but there’s one key aspect that makes it ick

Akiha Konno has a secret–he’s a fox boy. Well, it’s more of a fox spirit that shares his body, so sometimes he sprouts canine ears and a tail when he gets worked up. Whiiiich is exactly what happened the day he first met Yukuri Takahashi, the cute guy who saved him from the perv groping his butt on the train. Turns out, he’s the solution to Akiha’s problems. The fox wants to cuddle Yukuri, and Yukuri thinks Akiha’s body is cute, so…everything is A-okay, right? Wrong. The Villainess Stans the Heroes Playing the Antagonist to Support her Faves! Vol. 2 is a lot of fun

Whoever said no rest for the wicked was onto something. After I fulfilled my villainess role marvelously, Albert and I fled to a resort town in anticipation of an upcoming in-game event. Upon our arrival, we ran into another one of my all-times faves–who has been forced to compete in an underground fighting ring dressed as a playboy bunny! Plus, this is way before she’s supposed to show up in the main storyline. The continuous changes to the narrative are kind of concerning, but no time to worry about that now–I’ve got a hero to save!
