Skybound Reveals a First Look at M.A.S.K. #1 by Dan Watters and Pye Parr

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have shared a first look at preview pages and covers from  M.A.S.K. #1, the debut issue of the all-new Energon Universe series by writer Dan Watters, artist Pye Parr, colorist Pierluigi Casolino, and letterer Rus Wooton. The first issue of this monumental new ongoing series lands in comic shops on June 10, 2026. 

The world is becoming a terrifying place. Matt Trakker needs your help saving it. Enter M.A.S.K.–a network of specialists ready to respond to the next global emergency. At a moment’s notice, Trakker and his agents can deploy bleeding-edge technology that converts their vehicles–and their drivers–into the ultimate weapon. But Miles Mayhem and V.E.N.O.M. are one step ahead in a secret arms race, scouring the globe for deadly weapons from this planet and beyond, ready to sell out the entire human race. Only M.A.S.K. can stop them… but will Trakker’s own secrets jeopardize their entire mission?

However, there are three rare SURPRISE Energon Universe comics that can be found in these blind bags. Those SURPRISE comics will not be publicly announced in advance of the issue release. 

In celebration of M.A.S.K.’s arrival in the Energon Universe, Skybound and Hasbro will feature an exclusive first look at M.A.S.K. in the Energon Universe Special 2026, a Free Comic Book Day issue releasing Saturday, May 2, 2026. The special issue will include four all-new stories from TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE, and VOID RIVALS and will serve as the first official glimpse into Dan Watters and Pye Parr’s M.A.S.K.

ComicsPRO 2026: M.A.S.K. by Dan Watters and Pye Parr joins the Energon Universe in June

Optimus Prime Faces Betrayal in Transformers #26 By Robert Kirkman and Dan Mora

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have revealed interior pages and the lineup of variant covers for Transformers #26, the two-time Eisner Award winning series from the new powerhouse creative team of writer Robert Kirkman, artist Dan Mora, colorist Mike Spicer, and letterer Rus Wooton. The next chapter of the tentpole Energon Universe story will be available on shelves in comic book shops on November 12, 2025.

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have revealed a new look at the next chapter of the two-time Eisner Award winning series Transformers. Writer Robert Kirkman and artist Dan Mora kick off a bold new era for Transformers that will be …MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE with issue #25, in comic book shops October 8, 2025.  

Joining current series colorist Mike Spicer and letterer Rus Wooton, Robert Kirkman and Dan Mora begin a new age of Transformers with an oversized issue, celebrating the blockbuster series’ second anniversary. A perfect jumping on point for new readers, issue #25 will also feature a story about the future of the Decepticons from Kirkman and current series artist Jorge Corona, which was revealed in the new preview today.  

Also debuted today, Transformers #25 begins a new 1:10 incentive variant cover series featuring striking character profiles by Jorge Corona and Mike Spicer that will run through the full story arc.

Rook: Exodus returns with a new story arc and sinister new villain in October

Image Comics and Ghost Machine’s runaway hit series Rook: Exodus by Geoff Johns, Jason Fabok, Brad Anderson, and Rob Leigh returns in October with a new story arc and a mysterious new character. It all begins in Rook: Exodus #7 with a daring new direction that takes fans on a quest to save Dire Wolf’s father Bloodhound—the one man who may be able to save Exodus from destruction and collapse.

This volume of Rook: Exodus will also feature a connected cover running across all six issues by breakout Malaysian artist Kael Ngu. The six-part cover connects to show off the world of Exodus and its Wardens from the first and second arcs of the series.
