Travel abroad for a murder mystery with I Am Their Silence

Dark Horse Books presents I Am Their Silence, a new murder mystery graphic novel from Eisner Award-nominated cartoonist Jordi Lafebre. Written and illustrated by Lafebre, lettered by Cromatik, Ltd., and translated by Montana Kane, this story tackles themes of mental health, trauma, and the complexities of family dynamics.

Eva is a brilliant psychiatrist, but when she finds the Monturos family patriarch dead the night before a party discussing the family’s future and their wine-making empire, Eva is catapulted into a web of intrigue and deception. With her name on the suspect list, Eva transforms into an amateur sleuth out of obsession more than self-defense.

Guided by the voices of her dead relatives, who seem to haunt her wherever she goes, Eva journeys through Barcelona to uncover the real killer, all while dealing with the Monturos family’s trouble and, seemingly, her own.

I Am Their Silence was originally published by Darguad in France, where it was a finalist for the Association of French-Language Comics (ACBD) Grand Critics Prize in 2024 and an Angoulême Official Crime Thriller Selection in 2024.

I Am Their Silence (hardcover, 112 pages, 7” x 10”) will be available wherever books are sold on July 1, 2025. It is now available to preorder at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Things From Another World, and your local comic shop and bookstore for $24.99.

NYCC 2024: Rick Remender and Paul Azaceta team for The Seasons, launching January 2025

Writer Rick Remender and artist Paul Azaceta will invite readers to the big top next year for an unforgettable show in the upcoming series, The Seasons. This all-new, ongoing series is set to launch out of Remender’s Giant Generator line in January 2025 from Image Comics.

Azaceta will appear on the “Image Comics Presents: Breaking Ground” panel on Sunday, October 20 @ 11 a.m. in room 406.2 to share more details about the announcement.

Kicking off with a double-length premiere issue, Remender and Azaceta weave an elevated tale of whimsical horror unlike anything ever experienced in comics.

Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn are the Seasons Sisters, the daughters of the world-renowned Seasons Detectives. Ten years ago, their famous parents disappeared. Left to raise themselves, the sisters formed an unbreakable bond. Now that bond is tested as the sisters fall prey to sinister forces.
