Portal Games announces it’s ending its distribution partnership with GTS Distribution

Portal Games has announced that effective December 1, 2024, it will cease its partnership with GTS Distribution for the North American market. This decision marks the conclusion of a collaboration that began in 2015.

Portal Games extends its gratitude to GTS Distribution for nearly a decade of cooperation, which helped bring popular games such as Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, and Imperial Settlers to players across North America.

Moving forward, Portal Games titles will be available in the North American market through a range of other esteemed distributors, including PSI (Publisher Services Inc.), ACD Distribution, and additional partners. These distributors will ensure that Portal Games catalog continues to reach retail stores and gaming communities across the region without interruption.

For inquiries regarding distribution, retailers are encouraged to reach out to Portal Games directly or contact their preferred distributor for updated ordering information.

Cryptozoic Announces Mighty Meeples Distribution Partners

Cryptozoic Entertainment announced today that it will be working with Diamond Comic Distributors and GTS Distribution as their exclusive hobby retail distribution partners for their Mighty Meeples line of figures, which will first be released in December. Diamond Comic Distributors will be distributing Mighty Meeples to comic book stores and GTS Distribution will be delivering the figures to hobby gaming stores.

First appearing over 15 years ago, the “meeple”—short for “my people”—possesses a distinctive shape that has made it a popular choice for player pieces in a variety of tabletop games. These oversized 1” tall wooden figures will showcase fan-favorite characters from DC Comics and Ghostbusters franchises.

This December will see the first release of any Mighty Meeples product with Mighty Meeples: DC Comics Series 1. The figures in the series will be sold in blind bag assortments that each contain three figures for a suggested retail price of $2.99. Also in December, the Mighty Meeples: DC Comics Justice League Collection Tin will be available for $14.99. The 30 distinctive figures in Series 1 offer a large variety for collectors to show off and gamers to play with in their favorite board games.

Next year, Cryptozoic will release more from its Mighty Meeples line, including figures for other DC Comics characters and the Ghostbusters-themed Mighty Meeples Ecto-1 Tin, which will arrive in stores in early 2017. GTS Distribution and Diamond Comic Distributors will be the exclusive distributors of these items—as well as any other future Mighty Meeples releases—for gaming and comic book hobby stores, respectively.
