Hoppers Holds First Place at the Weekend Box Office as Two Debut in the Top Five

Hoppers was first place in the weekend box office with an estimated $28.5 million domestically. Over the week, it grossed $35.9 million to bring its international gross to $77.9 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $164.7 million. While the gross feels low for a Disney animated film, it’s possible this is one that has long legs and goes for a while, especially as kids will be out of school for spring break.

Reminders of Him debuted in second place with $18.3 million domestically. It also grossed just under $10 million internationally for a worldwide gross of $28.2 million.

Undertone debuted in third place with a domestic estimated gross of $9.3 million. There’s no international gross reported.

Scream 7 slipped to fourth place with an estimated $8.4 million after being in second the previous week. The film has grossed $106.5 million domestically. Over the week, it grossed $14.3 million internationally to bring that to $70.4 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $176.9 million. The movie has passed 1997’s Scream 2 to become the top grossing film in the franchise, guaranteeing we’ll see more of Ghost Face. Will it be the first to cross $200 million?

GOAT wrapped up the top five slipping one spot and grossing an estimated $4.7 million to bring its domestic gross to $90.6 million. Internationally, the movie grossed $9.7 million over the week to bring that to $72.2 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $162.8 million.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze returned for a re-release and grossed $1.5 million to come in eighth.

Kiki’s Delivery Service was not far behind it to come in ninth with a re-release and $1.1 million.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie – Infinity Castle added $335,000 to its domestic gross. That’s now $136.6 million. Internationally, the movie added about $5.2 million and is now at $604.2 million. Its worldwide gross is $734.8 million.

All You Need Is Kill remained gained about $200 over the week and is at $695,290 domestically and internationally has jumped up to $46,128 for a worldwide gross of $741,418.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution remained at $16.6 million domestically. Internationally, it also sits at $27.9 million for a worldwide gross of $44.5 million.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc remained at $43.4 million domestically. Internationally, the movie has grossed $119.6 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $163.1 million.

Numbers have 39 movies grossing $83,352,861 from 35,299 theaters for an average of $2,361.34. That is compared to last week’s 71 movies grossing $95,862,120 from 34,292 theaters for an average of $2,795.47.

Scream 7 Slices Into the Weekend Box Office with a Franchise Best

Scream 7 topped the weekend box office with a franchise best, by a lot. The film grossed an estimated $64.1 million domestically topping 2023’s Scream VI’s debut of $44.4 million. It was unknown what would happen with Scream 7 after a rocky start and some threatening boycotts but the fans showed up for the return of Sidney Prescott. Internationally, the movie grossed $33.1 million for a worldwide debut of $97.2 million.

While that’s a solid debut, horror films tend to drop int heir second weekend, so there’s a good chance the movie will gross a franchise best, it’s a crapshoot if it’ll cross $200 million worldwide which no Scream film has done before.

GOAT slipped to second place after last week’s first place. The film added an estimated $12 million to its domestic total to bring that to just under $74 million. Internationally, the film grossed $12.5 million over the week to bring that to $56.5 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $130.5 million.

Wuthering Heights dropped one spot to third with just under $7 million to bring its domestic gross to $72.3 million. Over the week, it grossed $28 million internationally to bring that to $119.7 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $192 million.

Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined debuted in fourth place with a domestic gross of $4.3 million.

EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is the second concert film to make the top five rounding it out with $3.5 million over the weekend to bring its domestic gross to $7.8 million. Internationally, it has grossed $6.5 million for a worldwide total of $14.4 million.

Internationally, the movie Grossed $12 million over the week to bring that total to $44 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $102.3 million over two weeks.

Wuthering Heights slipped to second place dropping 56.7% over the week. It grossed an estimated $14.2 million to bring its gross to $60 million after two weeks. Internationally, the movie grossed $49.7 million over the week to bring its international total to $91.7 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $151.7 million.

I Can Only Imagine 2 debuted in third place with $8 million and no international gross.

Crime 101 slipped on spot to fourth place with $5.8 million to bring its domestic total to $24.7 million. Internationally, it grossed $9.6 million to bring that total to $21.6 million. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $46.3 million.

Send Help came in fifth place with $4.5 million to bring its domestic total to $55.5 million. Internationally, it grossed $3.3 million over the week to bring that to $27.5 million and $83 million worldwide.

Wuthering Heights debuted in first place at the weekend box office scoring an estimated $34.8 million domestic gross. Overall, the film has grossed an estimated $40 million domestically and $42 million internationally for a worldwide debut of $82 million.

GOAT opened in second place with an estimated $26 million over the weekend domestically and $32 million overall. With an international gross of $15.6 million, it’s worldwide debut was $47.6 million.

Crime 101 came in third place with an estimated $15.1 million over the weekend and $17.8 million overall domestically. With $12 million internationally, it has grossed $29.8 million.

Send Help dropped to fourth place with just under $9 million, just a 0.9% drop from the previous week. Domestically, it has grossed $49.6 million. Internationally, it added $6.3 million over the week and has now grossed $24.2 million. Worldwide, it stands at $73.8 million.

Rounding out the top five was Solo Mio which added $6.8 million to its domestic total which is $18.5 million. No international gross has been report.
