ShiftyLook Premiers Galaga From Ryan North, Christopher Hastings, & Anthony Clark!

During one of its recent livestreams, ShiftyLook announced a webcomic adaptation of Galaga, written by a giant cardboard cutout of Ryan North, illustrated by Christopher Hastings and colored by Anthony Clark. Good news everyone! ShiftyLook has since secured the real, live Ryan North and the new Galaga webcomic has just launched today on ShiftyLook.com!

Based on the retro arcade classic from NAMCO BANDAI Games, Galaga delves into the lives of Penelope and Betty as they do what gamers do best: protect the earth from alien invaders! Galaga is the latest in ShiftyLook’s ever-growing line of retro games-turned-webcomics. Ryan, Chris and Anthony join the ranks of the ever-growing line of creative superstars working with ShiftyLook, including Alex Culang and Raynato Castro, Scott Kurtz and many more.

SDCC 2012 – ShiftyLook Announces San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Official Schedule of Events Including the ShiftyLook Freeplay Arcade!

Namco Bandai has announced their special events for San Diego Comic-Con 2012. Activities include an industry-only party, a huge freeplay arcade, an action-packed Saturday panel and a stage throughout the weekend filled with non-stop happenings.

The ShiftyLook Freeplay Arcade boasts Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug and over a dozen other arcade games. Located across the street from the San Diego Convention Center at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quater’s terrace, the arcade will open at 12:00PM daily and close at 6:00PM on Thursday, 10:00PM on Friday and Saturday, and 8:00PM on Sunday.

Kicking-off the convention on Thursday night will be ShiftyLook Presents the Most Retro Comic-Con Party (Ever!), taking over the arcade and entire terrace of the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, with ShiftyLook partners, press and comic creators present for a night of festivities. Although not open to the public, fans can follow along via the official Google+ Events On Air page: http://goo.gl/i6TZ9 for constant photos and video throughout the evening.

Special events will occur at the ShiftyLook Stage all weekend. Visit shiftylook.com or its social media outlets for the complete stage schedule prior to the convention. Finally, ShiftyLook will host its biggest panel ever on Saturday, July 14th at 11:00AM in Room 25ABC of the San Diego Convention Center. Appearing at the panel will be ShiftyLook’s Rob Pereyda, Bravoman writer Matt Moylan and artist Dax Gordine, Dig Dug 30th Anniversary contributors Scott Kurtz and Kris Straub (making an announcement) and legendary voice actor Rob Paulsen (making another announcement).
