Goofy web-swings into Marvel’s latest What If…? Goofy Became Spider-Man

Marvel & Disney: What If…? Goofy Became Spider-Man, the newest Marvel Comics one-shot that reimagines classic Marvel tales with Mickey Mouse and friends, arrives this July! It’s Goofy’s turn for a solo spotlight as he becomes Marvel’s most iconic super hero.

The adventure will be written and drawn by a team of celebrated Disney comic creators, writers Riccardo Secchi and Steve Behling and artist Francesco D’Ippolito, who put a hilarious and unexpected twist on Spider-Man’s groundbreaking first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Bitten by a radioactive spider, Mickey’s fun-loving pal will learn about great power and great responsibility as he swings through the skies as the friendly neighborhood SPIDER-GOOFY!

Goofy becomes the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in this tale that’s sure to make you say “GAWRSH!” Goofy Parker must learn the ultimate lesson of responsibility to save his beloved Uncle Ben. And wait’ll you see what he does to those Beagle Boys! Ah-hyuck!

New Disney What If? Variant Covers revealed inspired by modern Avengers and X-Men milestones

Throughout this year, Disney’s Mickey Mouse and his friends homage classic Marvel covers to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Avengers and X-Men! With a new cover each month, see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Marvel’s Merry Mutants like you’ve never seen them before with fun takes on both franchises’ most iconic and groundbreaking stories! The new Disney What If? Variant Covers will adorn select issues of Amazing Spider-Man all year long and are also available as black and white versions. Fans can check out the next trio of Disney What If? Variant Covers which will hit stands October-December.

The new covers see Goofy, Donald, and Daisy fill in for Wolverine, Captain America, and Black Widow for their iconic team-up in Uncanny X-Men #268; Mickey, Minnie and more enter the X-Men’s revolutionary Krakoan age that kicked off in House of X #1, and the gang assembling for one of the Avengers’ most pivotal moments, the “Disassembled” storyline, in Avengers #500.

Written by Jason Aaron and drawn by a lineup of celebrate Disney comic book artists such as Paolo Mattura, Francesco D’Ippolito, Vitale Mangiatordi, and more, this one-shot will masterfully blend the beloved world of Uncle Scrooge with the hallmarks of Marvel Comics storytelling.
