Top Cow Creators is heading to New York Comic Con! Since the launch of DESTINY GATE #1 and STJEPAN SEJIC‘s appearance coincides with the convention, Top Cow created a DESTINY GATE #1 – NYCC EXCLUSIVE VARIANT by STJEPAN SEJIC that will be available for ONLY $20 EACH at Booth K-26, 27, & 28 and F-04 where our creators can sign it for you! Top Cow creators and team members will be spread out in Artist Alley and involved in panels througout the weekend. Please see the details below, and don’t hesitate to say hello to them at the show

How do we move through the show, what challenges await teachers and librarians, and where should we go to find the best resources? A panel of teachers, creators, and publishers will pull together to help you figure out how to make the most of your comic con experience.

PORTFOLIOS WORKSHOP AND REVIEW

Professional Programming: River PavilionLearn what to include and leave out of your portfolio for pencilers, inkers, colorists, and letterers. Editors and publishers are looking for new talent. This highly interactive workshop will share useful guides for maximizing your professional portfolio for in-person and online submissions. As a bonus, 5 aspiring creators will be selected to get real-time feedback from our panel of editors and pros. This essential training is advised for creators of all levels, but special focus will be on creators who are seeking professional, paid work in comic books for independent and mainstream publishers.

Wednesdays (and Tuesdays) are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.

A Haunted Girl #1 (Image Comics) – Cleo, an adopted 16-year-old Japanese-American whose depression drove her to near-suicide, is trying unsuccessfully to reintegrate back into her old life. But her struggles are just beginning as she encounters an increasingly terrifying succession of ghosts.

American Psycho #1 (Massive Publishing/Sumerian) – Witness the greatest hits of Patrick’s murderous rampage while exploring new revelations in the world of American Psycho. On that, we’re dubious, but it’s also the journey of an all-new psychopath as social media obsessed millennial. That, we’re more intrigued by.

Batman and Robin #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue did a great job of balancing superheroics and family drama and we’re expecting more!

Batman: City of Madness #1 (DC Comics) – Writer/artist Christian Ward takes on Batman, nuff said.

Capwolf and the Howling Commandos #1 (Marvel) – It’s such a silly concept but perfect for the season.

Destiny Gate #1 (Image Comics/Top Cow Production) – Life, for the most part, is the product of the decisions you make. For some, a “wrong” decision or two (or more) leads to a crossroads on the other side of the Destiny Gate.

Earthdivers #11 (IDW Publishing) – Mission isn’t accomplished so it’s on to 1776 and an attempt to cave out a better future in the Declaration of Independence.

Mech Cadets #3 (BOOM! Studios) – The series has been a fantastic reintroduction to the world that mixes up military/giant robot/alien genres with youthful energy.

Midlife Hero at Fifty #1 (Image Comics) – After 25 years in the LAFD, Ruben’s firmly in the middle of an unremarkable life…until his new wife gets pregnant and a random act of courage reveals that Ruben is FIREPROOF!

Nights #1 (Image Comics) – Supernatural creatures exist among the common folk, and America is comprised of just 31 states. Ok, that’s enough to get us to check this out.

Operation Sunshine #1 (Dark Horse) – A group of young, alienated vampires known as “bugs” plot to steal a magical object from ancient monstrous vampires to turn themselves back to human.

Scarlett Couture: The Munich File #3 (Titan Comics) – Sexy pop spy action!

Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 (Marvel) – We’re fans of the original run with the character and intrigued to see how this return happens.

Wesley Dodds: The Sandman #1 (DC Comics) – The classic Sandman is back and must get his journal with all of the other failed and more deadly gas formulas back.

Top Cow reveals The Walking Dead 20th Anniversary Variants

Top Cow Productions is helping to celebrate Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead 20-year milestone anniversary with collectible variants by artist Giuseppe Cafaro and colorist John Starr. Together, these three virgin variant covers will connect to create a panoramic masterpiece featuring Top Cow characters from Destiny Gate #1, Antarctica #4, and Haunt You To The End #5, fighting side-by-side with The Walking Dead iconic horror series heroes and villains this October.

Top Cow/EP1T0ME series Destiny Gate #1 by Ryan Cady and Christian DiBari, The Walking Dead‘s Negan is wielding the mighty Lucille as he struggles with Destiny Gate protagonist Mitchell Slate while the demonic character ‘Madness’ looms.

While in Antarctica #4, Michonne’s sword is drawn with Antarctica heroine Hannah, as they fight back to back as zombie’s claw at them. 

Lastly, the cover to Haunt You To The End #5, features the tough as nails mercenary Gersh, as she struggles in the foreground while behind her the The Walking Dead‘s Maggie fights for her life against ravenous Zombies, tears in her eyes in shock and surprise, as next to her she sees the mangled, broken, ghost corpse of the love of her life, Glenn.

Top Cow announces Destiny Gate

Top Cow Productions, Inc. is partnering with EP1T0ME Studios, Inc. to co-produce and to publish Destiny Gate, a new horror, noir thriller series.

Destiny Gate is an action-packed, immersive series based on the game concept by Paul Limon and being penned by Ryan Cady, illustrated by Christian DiBari and colored by Simon Gough.

Life, for the most part, is the product of the decisions you make. For some, a “wrong” decision or two (or more) leads to crossroads on the other side of the Destiny Gate. Do you fight for a chance to survive and to start anew, or do you succumb to your inner demons and end it all for you and, worse, yours?
