From the Death of the Venomverse… Kid Venom!

It’s the Summer of Symbiotes and the Marvel Universe is exploding with new symbiote characters, sagas, and revelations! This entire season of symbiote insanity is building up to Death of the Venomverse, a new limited series launching in August by Venom superstars Cullen Bunn and artist Gerardo Sandoval. This five-part symbiote epic will revolutionize the symbiote mythos as Carnage embarks on a murder spree across the multiverse, hunting down every last symbiote to claim his crown as the new King in Black. However, this dark tale will have a bright spot as a new symbiote hero emerges amidst Carnage’s chaos—Kid Venom. Starting in Death of the Venomverse #2, Kid Venom’s story will be told by in backup stories written and drawn by his creator, acclaimed manga artist Taigami!

Hailing from 10th century Japan, Kentaru will do anything to protect his village from mysterious symbiote attacks, even if it means bonding to a symbiote of his own! As he attaches himself to a new symbiote entity dubbed Clinter, Kentaru embraces his wild new abilities as Kid Venom! But is he in way over his head when Carnage’s fury swings his way?

Carnage’s symbiote slayfest begins in Death of the Venomverse

Marvel’s Summer of Symbiotes is underway! An entire season of symbiote insanity, Summer of Symbiotes sees launch of new titles like Extreme Venomverse (on sale now!) and Cult of Carnage: Misery as well as wild new sagas in your favorite ongoing symbiote titles, Carnage and Venom. The overarching storylines all pave the way for what is to be the crown jewel of Summer of Symbiotes: Death of the Venomverse. This all new epic will see the return of Venom visionary Cullen Bunn as he teams up with fellow symbiote superstar Gerardo Sandoval to bring the symbiotic ax down on the VENOMVERSE!

Launching in August, Death of the Venomverse will be a five-issue limited series that unleashes Carnage on a quest to become the new King in Black. Carnage has been building his powers up, extracting unique abilities from many villains throughout the Marvel Universe and now traverses the Multiverse with a singular goal: KILL ANY AND ALL VENOMS! Throughout Carnage’s savage rampage, fans can expect to see some of their favorite new symbiote charterers that debuted in Extreme Venomverse along with brand-new ones including a top-secret new symbiote hero who will be revealed at a later date. The limited series will also include a classic tale in the vein of Venom: Lethal Protector by Venom co-creator David Michelinie.

Ryan Stegman celebrates 35 years of Venom with new variant covers

Just in time for the character’s 35th anniversary, the Summer of Symbiotes will spotlight Venom and his extended family of symbiotes with new series, character-redefining story-arcs, and more! Unveiled last week at the Breaking into Comics the Marvel Way Panel at MegaCon Orlando, superstar artist Ryan Stegman will join the celebration starting in May with his collection of Venom The Other Variant Covers!

One of the definitive VENOM artists of the last decade, Stegman has captured 16 iconic designs, alternate versions, and hosts from throughout Venom history in these jaw-dropping pieces. Running on select symbiote titles all summer long, these covers are both a love-letter to Mike Wieringo’s 2000s Spider-Man The Other Variant Covers and a fun callback to the way Eddie Brock referred to his symbiote during his early days.
