Holiday Gift Guide: DC Icons Superman and Batman

The holidays are fast approaching and we’re kicking off our 2017 Gift Guide. We’ve got tons of suggestions coming your way both here on GP TV and over at Graphic Policy. Stay tuned for lots to come!

Up first are two figures from DC Collectibles, the DC Icons Superman and Batman figure. The figures capture each character in their costumes from the beginning of DC Comics’ Rebirth. Available for the first time as separate figures versions of the figures were previously only available in a seven pack of figures.

DC Collectibles brings the icon battle to life in plastic with the new DC Icons: Superman & Doomsday 2-pack set. From the classic Superman tale the set features both Superman and Doomsday action figures in a unique rubble base. Also included is a torn Superman cape, multiple fists, an alternative Superman head, sound effects, and more.

Unboxing: DC Comics Icons Darkseid & Grail Two Pack Deluxe

Two of the Justice League‘s greatest enemies join the DC Icons collection. Designed by Ivan Reis and each with 23 points of articulation, Darkseid measures a staggering 12-inches tall and Grail approximately 5 3/4-inches tall. The pair of evil-doers come with multiple sets of interchangeable hands, an ax, and Grail’s cloak.

We open up and show off these two figures, going over the accessories, articulation, paint jobs, and just how massive Darkseid is!

Action figures have come a long way since we were kids in the 80s. The amount of detail, the articulation, and the accessories seem to get better every year.

Some of our favorite toys and action figures come from DC Comics in the form of their DC Icons line of toys.

We show off the first wave that features Batman, Deadman, Green Arrow, and Mister Miracle, but there’s many more to get!
