Bamba qualified for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) but his immigration status is now in danger due to the Trump administration’s announced repeal of the program. Bambadjan refuses to stay silent about the realities faced by undocumented immigrants and is now working with the nonprofit group Define American to share his story about America’s outdated and dysfunctional immigration system.

There’s an estimated 11 million undocumented individuals in the United States. There’s a good chance you regularly interact with some every day and you wouldn’t know it. Bamba entertains millions weekly through television and will be seen by tens of millions more this February and if he hadn’t felt the courage to speak out, you wouldn’t even know his reality and the fear he lives with every day.

Despite his fear, Bamba entertains, and now he’s using his elevated platform to raise awareness of the millions like him.
