SDCC 2026: Marvel and WEBTOON Unveil the First Wave of Marvel Originals

Marvel and WEBTOON have revealed the first wave of original Marvel series — all-new Marvel stories created exclusively for WEBTOON and designed specifically for the platform’s vertical-scroll format.

Announced during Marvel’s “Next Big Thing” panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the slate introduces three original series from an exciting lineup of comics and WEBTOON creators, bringing fans new stories and characters from across Marvel that can only be found on WEBTOON.

For 17-year-old Tony Stark, life is effortless. It’s the kind of thing that tends to happen when you’re wealthy, popular, and a mile smarter than everyone else in the room. After graduating from MIT, Tony expects to spend the summer pushing the envelope of innovation at his Stark Industries internship. Howard Stark has other ideas. Frustrated by the bad press from Tony’s underage partying, Howard intends to show the world that the de facto heir to the Stark empire is worthy of the mantle — especially as Howard works on a deal to push rival Creighton McCall out of the electronics industry for good. That is how Tony finds himself in a stuffy etiquette class with Meredith McCall. Thrown together, Tony and Meredith are a recipe for disaster. To Meredith, Tony is smug, spoiled, and represents everything she hates about her father’s world. But the line between hate and love is a thin one, and neither Tony nor Meredith can deny the spark between them. As understanding and friendship blossom, so too do deeper feelings, leading to a first love neither one of them saw coming. Too bad their fathers will kill them for dating the enemy.

DC Announces New Series, Returning Favorites, and a Crossover for DC GO!

DC has revealed what’s coming to DC GO!, the publisher’s mobile-first webcomics imprint. Launching in October 2024, DC GO! has become a destination for fast-paced, character-driven digital stories designed for vertical reading. DC GO! delivers original DC stories and reimagined classics in an easy-to-read scrolling format, with episodes crafted for quick, engaging reading sessions and fresh takes on iconic characters.

In 2026, the imprint will debut new seasons for five returning fan-favorite series, launch three brand-new originals, and bring storylines together in its first-ever crossover event, “Runway to Ruin!,” marking DC GO!’s biggest slate to date. 

DC GO! will kick off its 2026 slate with new seasons of three of its most-read originals:

  • Jon Kent: This Internship Is My Kryptonite (Slice-of-Life/Superhero Comedy) follows Jon’s attempts to balance superheroics with a Daily Planet internship (June 2026) by writer Sam Camp and artist Seraji. The first episode of the new season is available now on DC Universe Infinite.
  • The Magical Mysteries of Shazam! (Fantasy/Supernatural Adventure) brings Billy Batson’s whimsical, monster-filled world to life with heart and humor (August 2026) by writer Steve Orlando and artist Giopota.
  • Nothing Butt Nightwing (Action/Comedy) sends Dick Grayson undercover as a globe-trotting supermodel in a stylish, comedic caper (September 2026) by writer Patrick R. Young and artist Moy R. Marco.
Jon Kent: This Internship Is My Kryptonite

These titles will lead into DC GO!’s first imprint-wide crossover event, “Runway to Ruin!” arriving October 2026 with an Alpha episode written by Patrick R. Young and art by Andrew Drilon. The event will weave together storylines from across the slate throughout the month, culminating in an Omega episode. Following the crossover, DC GO! will debut three new original webcomic series and launch new seasons of two more continuing series.

For fans of Warriors and a Wee Wonder and Harley Quinn in Paradise, new stories are on the horizon! Stay tuned for Warriors and a Tween Wonder (Slice-Of-Life/Comedy) by writer Stephanie Williams and artist Dominic Bustamante, and Poison Ivy in Briarwood (Romance/Comedy) by writer CRC Payne and artist Bailie Rosenlund, launching later this year.

This all coincides with the line’s first print releases in October 2026, with Ringo Award Winner for Best Humor Webcomic Nothing Butt Nightwing Vol. 1 (collecting episodes 1-13), Ringo Award Nominee for Best Humor Webcomic Harley Quinn in Paradise Vol. 1 (collecting episodes 1-13), and Ringo Award Winner for Best Webcomic Renaissance of Raven (collecting the full series). These releases mark the first time these DC GO! stories will be available in print, expanding the imprint’s reach to new readers and retailers.

Supergirl and Blade Crossover in a new Webcomic!

DC has revealed Supergirl/Blade, the next chapter in its digital-first crossover initiative with Marvel. You can read it exclusively on DC GO! Written by CRC Payne with art by Mikel Janín and Hugo Petrus, colors by Marcelo Maiolo, and letters by Pat Brosseau, the new vertical-scroll webcomic brings together two icons from opposite worlds in a thriller that cuts across dimensions. The special one-shot issue is free-to-read for the first 30 days with DCUI registration.

When Mojo kidnaps Supergirl and Blade to star in his latest over-the-top vampire romance series, the Girl of Steel and the Daywalker find themselves trapped on a soundstage where the cameras never stop rolling and the stakes are very real. Forced to battle bloodsucking foes, melodramatic tropes, and Mojo himself, the unlikely duo must team up and fight their way to freedom before the show’s final twist becomes their last.

This latest release builds on last year’s digital-first crossovers, including The Flash/Fantastic Four on DCUI under the DC GO! imprint and Thor/Shazam! on Marvel Unlimited as an Infinity Comics story, which marked the first time DC and Marvel characters appeared together in original vertical-scroll stories created specifically for digital platforms. The initiative continues to grow in 2026, with both publishers releasing new stories that highlight the strengths of their characters while exploring surprising team-ups.

Launching the same day on Marvel’s digital reader platform, Marvel will debut Jeff/Aquaman by Kelly Thompson and Andres Genolet, an aquatic adventure pairing the fan-favorite land shark with the King of Atlantis.

When Ken the Kaiju storms Coney Island, Jeff and Aquaman must form an unlikely aquatic alliance to save the shoreline from total destruction. Big waves, big laughs, and even bigger monsters await in this ocean-sized adventure.

DC Announces DC GO! — a new collection of webcomics designed for mobile devices

DC has announced DC GO!, a new frontier of webcomics publishing exclusively on DC Universe Infinite (DCUI). The DC GO! collection of webcomics is designed for mobile devices, and a sneak peek of two new series will be free to read as a DC GO! preview starting today. The DC GO! collection will include a mix of original webcomic content plus vertically reformatted DC and MAD Magazine classics, launching November 20, 2024. In addition to the three original webcomics debuting with the DC GO! collection launch, with more to come, a DCUI subscription will also allow readers to enjoy newly formatted DC and MAD Magazine classics on the go. Batman: Hush,a thrilling mystery of action, intrigue, and deception by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, is the first DC classic to join the DC GO! collection and can be previewed for free beginning October 17. All-Star Superman, a science fiction/fantasy epic by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a science fiction adventure by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, and more, will be joining the DC GO! collection of reformatted genre classics on DCUI in the coming months.

In Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair, and Richard Starkings, a crime epidemic is sweeping Gotham, and Batman’s enemies have emerged to wreak havoc on the Caped Crusader’s life.
