GAMA 2025: The Yoroni are coming for Para Bellum’s Conquest with the Cohort Box

Opportunities like this are not to be missed. Coming out swinging, the Yoroni, the ninth faction of Conquest, make life easier and cooler than ever for players, as Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, is putting a bit over 1000 points worth of brute army in a double-digit priced Cohort Box. Inside the Yoroni Cohort box, eleven Brute sized miniature await, with Tengu, Kappa, Oni and Kami answering the call of a Kitsune Onmyoji Character. And thanks to the flexible special rules of the Yoroni, the… magnificent eleven Brute-sized models of the Cohort are suitable for both Mass Combat and Skirmish systems as is. With a range of different models and an entirely new aesthetic and playstyle, the Yoroni Cohort Box is here to scratch every itch of a Yokai-themed wargaming army, be it playing endless battles, trying new painting ideas or both!

The Cohort contains 10 Ideal Cards, a Quick Start Guide for First Blood with Welcome Guide and a ‘ready to play’ Army List for First Blood. But unlike any other army of Conquest, the Yoroni use Ideal Cards and can mix and match when building their regiments. Thus, the box was recently updated so that all 11 entries are fully compatible to form a Tournament Ready 1000-point army for First Blood and an 885-point Army for Last Argument of Kings, the foundation to play and then build a larger force overtime to be tournament ready for our rank and flank game. The Cohort One Player Starter for Yoroni is one of the best starting points for a new army in wargaming – and it’s ready for two games.

If there was ever a time to try something new in wargaming, this is it. The “First Blood Cohort – Yoroni” box is available for pre-order now and will be released on April 25th, at an SRP of USD/EU 99.99.

The elegance of spellcasting meets the might of the elements in Conquest: Bound to the Elements – A Sorcerer Kings Founder’s Exclusive

Conquest and Michael Kontraros join forces and end your search for magic lamps, in the newest Founder’s Exclusive entry by Para Bellum Wargames, developer and publisher of the fantasy Regimental Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish system Conquest: First Blood. This time, it is the prodigious Sorcerer Kings that take center stage with “Bound to the Elements,” a representation of the unparalleled connection the Sorcerer Kings have achieved with the elements.

Envisioned by the Para Bellum team and its Founder and sculpted by Michael Kontraros, it captures the poised grace of a master of the elements, surrounded by the latent, overwhelming power that is at their fingertips. “Bound to the Elements” is an interpretation of its namesake rule, which allows Characters of the Sorcerer Kings to increase their size to Brute and benefit from the ‘Elemental’ special rule. Thus, this beautiful dioramic miniature can stand in for not one, but three different Characters: Raj, Sorcerer and Maharaja, offering their Command Cards, along with all their Spell Cards as well, all the while providing a unique opportunity to enjoy the benefits that come from adding a beautiful mini-diorama in one’s army and collection.

The Founder’s Exclusive series has become a hallmark of Conquest quality and creativity, with this latent entry standing proud among its inspired predecessors. Sharing the series’ attention to detail, “Bound to the Elements” is an excellent addition for collectors and gamers alike, combining a powerful sculpt and mini-diorama to the utility of three Characters on the table! The box comes complete with an alternative head and right arm, 3 Command Cards and 7 Spell Cards for use in play, and a certificate of authenticity, signed by the Founder of Conquest himself.

Sequentially numbered to seven hundred and seventy seven (777), the Founder’s Exclusive “Bound to the Elements” – Sorcerer Kings, is available for Pre-Order at an SRP of USD/EU 89.99 while limited supplies last.

City States charge into September for Para Bellum’s Conquest

Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, has revealed the next batch of releases for the City States, with science and faith both fielding powerful new infantry regiments, complimented by the might of an elite Officer that will bolster the ranks of existing infantry entries. Three new additions to the Greek-inspired City States are on their way, with the much-anticipated Clockwork Hoplites leading the charge and the dreaded Sacred Band delivering both steel and magic against the foes of their deities. With them comes the Andromachos Officer, a powerful boost to the trusted Agema and Thorakites, further increasing their might and expanding on their strategic capabilities. Whether by mechanically propelled spears, devout tridents and spells or pure mastery over the art of war, the new releases promise a trifecta for the City States!

With stark contrasts in their themes yet an undeniable cohesion in style, the three releases underline all that makes the City States what they are. Bound to further beautify any City States army, each of these releases expresses a different aspect of the faction’s identity. The spear-wielding automata of the Clockwork Hoplites are the epitome of the faction’s magical science, with terrifying, empty glass faces being the last thing an enemy sees as they are cut down. On the other hand, with inspiration drawn from Bronze Age armors and styles, the Sacred Band are the epitome of devotion, each member’s hardened body a prayer to their divinities’ demand for superiority. Finally, the Adromachos, serves as a stark reminder of the ideal of self-perfection, driving others to new heights of excellence. Whether by spear, trident and spell or their very own excellence, each of these releases is bound to bring glory to their Warlords, no matter the style of City States army the prefer!

The Clockwork Hoplites (SRP at USD/EU 39.99), Sacred Band (USD/EU 39.99) and Andromachos (USD/EU 24.99) are available for Pre-Order now and will be released on September 27th.

Gen Con 2024: Para-Bellum shows off Conquest’s Sorcerer Kings’ Mahut

Para-Bellum is building the hype for the release of the Mahut and Dhanur Disciples for the tabletop miniature game Conquest. Coming for the Sorcerer Kings faction, the game’s 8th and newest, the model looks impressive!

The mighty Mahut – a much-anticipated entry of war-elephants that promise doom to the enemies of the Sorcerer Kings. And if you picture some arrow ridden beasts, as they crash to the doom of themselves and their riders, think again; these mighty beasts are all constructs, perfect replicas of the beloved steed of Hormus, Who Lays Mountains Low, himself, brought to life through his unparalleled sorcery. With rules like Hardened, Brutal Impact, Linebreaker and Trample, these devastating Monster regiments are bound to wreak havoc upon enemy lines. The Mahut includes four Dhanur Disciples, unparalleled masters of the art of archery, to wreak havoc from above – while the Disciples are also available as a full-fledged regiment in their own right. Finally, the boundless magic of a Maharaja can be added to the field; or rather over it, as the Favored of Hormus character is also released, ready to be mounted on the Mahut for a stylish and terrifying combination.

In a series of endless attempts to address his grief, the Sorcerer King Hormus has created countless replicas of his lost companion, sharing them with his people freely. While the number of such gifts seems to take away from the honor bestowed, their usefulness and hardiness – as undoubtedly portrayed on the tabletop – proves just how powerful this gift is. With them, come the Dhanur Disciples, archers dedicated wholly to their art, as their needs and wants are attended, in order for them to become masters; dangerous in their own right and perfect regiments for spellcaster characters. With the Mahut, coupled with the devastating ranged power of the Dhanur Disciples, nothing but victory awaits Sorcerer Kings Warlords. Whether the Dhanur Disciples or the Favored of Hormus are on the back of the Mahut, one thing is certain: terror on the field and hours of hobby time are about to be combined for all Sorcerer Kings enthusiasts!

The Mahut (USD/EU 129.99), Dhanur Disciples (USD/EU 39.99) and Favored of Hormus (USD/EU 24.99) are available now!
