City States charge into September for Para Bellum’s Conquest

Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, has revealed the next batch of releases for the City States, with science and faith both fielding powerful new infantry regiments, complimented by the might of an elite Officer that will bolster the ranks of existing infantry entries. Three new additions to the Greek-inspired City States are on their way, with the much-anticipated Clockwork Hoplites leading the charge and the dreaded Sacred Band delivering both steel and magic against the foes of their deities. With them comes the Andromachos Officer, a powerful boost to the trusted Agema and Thorakites, further increasing their might and expanding on their strategic capabilities. Whether by mechanically propelled spears, devout tridents and spells or pure mastery over the art of war, the new releases promise a trifecta for the City States!

With stark contrasts in their themes yet an undeniable cohesion in style, the three releases underline all that makes the City States what they are. Bound to further beautify any City States army, each of these releases expresses a different aspect of the faction’s identity. The spear-wielding automata of the Clockwork Hoplites are the epitome of the faction’s magical science, with terrifying, empty glass faces being the last thing an enemy sees as they are cut down. On the other hand, with inspiration drawn from Bronze Age armors and styles, the Sacred Band are the epitome of devotion, each member’s hardened body a prayer to their divinities’ demand for superiority. Finally, the Adromachos, serves as a stark reminder of the ideal of self-perfection, driving others to new heights of excellence. Whether by spear, trident and spell or their very own excellence, each of these releases is bound to bring glory to their Warlords, no matter the style of City States army the prefer!

The Clockwork Hoplites (SRP at USD/EU 39.99), Sacred Band (USD/EU 39.99) and Andromachos (USD/EU 24.99) are available for Pre-Order now and will be released on September 27th.

Gen Con 2024: Para-Bellum shows off Conquest’s Sorcerer Kings’ Mahut

Para-Bellum is building the hype for the release of the Mahut and Dhanur Disciples for the tabletop miniature game Conquest. Coming for the Sorcerer Kings faction, the game’s 8th and newest, the model looks impressive!

The mighty Mahut – a much-anticipated entry of war-elephants that promise doom to the enemies of the Sorcerer Kings. And if you picture some arrow ridden beasts, as they crash to the doom of themselves and their riders, think again; these mighty beasts are all constructs, perfect replicas of the beloved steed of Hormus, Who Lays Mountains Low, himself, brought to life through his unparalleled sorcery. With rules like Hardened, Brutal Impact, Linebreaker and Trample, these devastating Monster regiments are bound to wreak havoc upon enemy lines. The Mahut includes four Dhanur Disciples, unparalleled masters of the art of archery, to wreak havoc from above – while the Disciples are also available as a full-fledged regiment in their own right. Finally, the boundless magic of a Maharaja can be added to the field; or rather over it, as the Favored of Hormus character is also released, ready to be mounted on the Mahut for a stylish and terrifying combination.

In a series of endless attempts to address his grief, the Sorcerer King Hormus has created countless replicas of his lost companion, sharing them with his people freely. While the number of such gifts seems to take away from the honor bestowed, their usefulness and hardiness – as undoubtedly portrayed on the tabletop – proves just how powerful this gift is. With them, come the Dhanur Disciples, archers dedicated wholly to their art, as their needs and wants are attended, in order for them to become masters; dangerous in their own right and perfect regiments for spellcaster characters. With the Mahut, coupled with the devastating ranged power of the Dhanur Disciples, nothing but victory awaits Sorcerer Kings Warlords. Whether the Dhanur Disciples or the Favored of Hormus are on the back of the Mahut, one thing is certain: terror on the field and hours of hobby time are about to be combined for all Sorcerer Kings enthusiasts!

The Mahut (USD/EU 129.99), Dhanur Disciples (USD/EU 39.99) and Favored of Hormus (USD/EU 24.99) are available now!
