GAMA 2025: Conquest gets a 2-player Starter featuring Yoroni vs. W’Adrhun

Grab a friend and… have an argument, as you can’t decide which choice is your favorite. That is the situation in which Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, is putting the wargaming community, with its new 2-Player Starter Set. In one corner, the Set features the brand-new Yoroni, the ninth, and first Brute-only, faction of Conquest, featuring Yokai-inspired demon samurai that break a new frontier in fantasy wargaming with their aesthetic and style. In the other corner, a classic beloved: the mighty W’adrhŭn, Conquest’s dino-riding warriors and their powerful beasts, starring their latest behemoth of an entry: the flying Quatl, along with its Windlord Predator. With 10 Brute-sized Yoroni models and six W’adrhŭn entries, featuring 2 different dinosaur Brute entries led by the monstrous Quatl, the contents of this box are practically begging to be painted and fielded against each other!

The box features 16 Brute-sized entries and a Monster, offering incredible value, while also including everything else needed to start assembling your new Conquest armies. With two Welcome Guides, two sets of Quick Start guides for both games, two Wooden Conquest Measuring Tools, two Sets of 12 Dice, all the bases, stands, Command and Ideal Cards needed for each army to start playing, assembly manuals, two Folded Paper Maps, this is an absolute must for beginners and fans of Conquest. But while the practical approach makes a case for itself, in this primal clash of the mighty, it is indeed hard to see beyond the cool factor: Demon samurais versus dinosaur-riding warriors. Who would win? How will you choose which faction to play? Maybe it’s really a one player starter that gets you starting two new armies?

The answer awaits on your tables!

The “Two Player Starter Set – Yoroni vs W’adrhŭn” is available for pre-order at participating FLGS, or on our eshop and will be released on March 28th, at a SRP of USD/EU 199.99.

Conquest 2-Player Starter Set

GAMA 2025: The Yoroni are coming for Para Bellum’s Conquest with the Cohort Box

Opportunities like this are not to be missed. Coming out swinging, the Yoroni, the ninth faction of Conquest, make life easier and cooler than ever for players, as Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, is putting a bit over 1000 points worth of brute army in a double-digit priced Cohort Box. Inside the Yoroni Cohort box, eleven Brute sized miniature await, with Tengu, Kappa, Oni and Kami answering the call of a Kitsune Onmyoji Character. And thanks to the flexible special rules of the Yoroni, the… magnificent eleven Brute-sized models of the Cohort are suitable for both Mass Combat and Skirmish systems as is. With a range of different models and an entirely new aesthetic and playstyle, the Yoroni Cohort Box is here to scratch every itch of a Yokai-themed wargaming army, be it playing endless battles, trying new painting ideas or both!

The Cohort contains 10 Ideal Cards, a Quick Start Guide for First Blood with Welcome Guide and a ‘ready to play’ Army List for First Blood. But unlike any other army of Conquest, the Yoroni use Ideal Cards and can mix and match when building their regiments. Thus, the box was recently updated so that all 11 entries are fully compatible to form a Tournament Ready 1000-point army for First Blood and an 885-point Army for Last Argument of Kings, the foundation to play and then build a larger force overtime to be tournament ready for our rank and flank game. The Cohort One Player Starter for Yoroni is one of the best starting points for a new army in wargaming – and it’s ready for two games.

If there was ever a time to try something new in wargaming, this is it. The “First Blood Cohort – Yoroni” box is available for pre-order now and will be released on April 25th, at an SRP of USD/EU 99.99.

Para Bellum reveals the ninth Conquest army.. The Yoroni!

Yoroni

After months of speculation among the community, Para Bellum Wargames, the developer and publisher of Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Conquest: First Blood, has revealed its 9th faction: the demonic samurai called Yoroni! A unique twist which marries the elegance of Japanese mythology to violent elements of the demonic from fantasy culture, the Yoroni are an easy-to-play, hard to master, brute-only faction. They feature a bruiser-like gameplay style, with mighty warriors and powerful abilities, giving players their own, unique and versatile way to dominate the battlefield, while bringing a whole new aesthetic on tabletops. With the graceful sophistication of artistry combined with the brutality of primordial warriors, a whole new, uniquely styled series of canvases to paint is coming for Conquest. And with this being a Brute army, it has never been easier to get into Conquest; or start a brand-new army you didn’t know you needed.

Once parts of the endless legions of the Primordial War of Hosts, the hapless entities that would in time be turned into the Yoroni were cast into the very depths of the Elemental Domains. Seeking to reach the world of Eä through a spiritual process of Enlightenment, the Yoroni now enter the physical world en masse – threatening to disturb the balance of all things!

With deep lore, beautiful minis, and new tropes to explore in the world of Conquest, the Yoroni promise to provide entertainment on and off the table – with endless battles, lore, and hobby time! Focused on brutes, they will be easier to collect, while the boldness of their playstyle is bound to appeal to both new and old players alike!

This new faction is set to launch with a limited-edition Artisan Series Kitsune preview model in February, along with a Two Player Value Starter in March that will pit the Yoroni against the W’adrhŭn, while saving 2 gaming buddies $200 over the pricing if purchased separately.

The Yoroni are available to preorder now on the Conquest E-Shop and at your FLGS! Para Bellum will have the Kitsune preview at GAMA Trade Show, and for gamers at Tactica in Hamburg and The International Games Festival in Cannes. The launch of the Starter and many Brute Sets will be in March timed with Adepticon!

Conquest’s Crusading Noble Lord is here to strike fear into the hearts of foes of the Hundred Kingdoms

The reasons the Hundred Kingdom‘s Noble Lord might take up the mantle of a crusade are many and varied, ranging from the practical to the spiritual, but the end results are often the same: a loyal noble in charge of an armed host at the disposal of the church to wield against its sanctioned enemies without infringing upon the ancient laws that still bind the church. These warriors take up the mantle of the devout and strike fear into the hearts of their foe who know no action is forbidden to them in pursuit of the Churches enemies.

Dedicated to the Theist Church these Noble Lords have renounced the privileges of nobility to wage war against the enemies of the Hundred Kingdoms. Combining troops usually associated with the Feudal part of the 100K roster you are able to create a force entirely of Crusaders, zealous Sicarii, mighty Archangels and waves of faithful Militia

An Angel descends upon the Hundred Kingdoms. The Archangel has arrived!

Kindled by the faith of the Theist devout, the Archangels of the Theos have descended upon Ea to cleanse the land of the enemies of the Theist Church. Boundless faith given form and definition by the shattered places of worship that their followers have sacrificed, these beings are relentless foes of any who would oppose the church. Their mere presence on the battlefield elevates the faith of the devout to terrifying heights, enabling them to perform feats of faith and valour no foe has recourse against. This monster model includes an alternate head and weaponry.

Faith taken form from the rubbles of consecrated grounds – the Archangels will make your opponents think twice before setting foot on places of worship. Guided by religious zeal they act as powerful beacons of a Theist’s Priests miraculous powers. With a choice of Greatsword and Shield and Spear you have a chance to customize your Archangels to fit a host of different roles from Objective Zone holder to a versatile combat monster!
