NYCC 2022: Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd are heading back… to NYCC!

Great Scott! ReedPop has announced that Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, iconic stars of the Back to the Future trilogy, are heading to this year’s New York Comic Con

On Saturday, October 8, the duo will also participate in a separately-ticketed event titled Back to the Future Reunion with Michael J. Fox & Christopher Lloyd, where they will reflect on the beloved franchise and their time on the set. Fans looking for a chance to meet the stars can purchase VIP experience packages which include a range of seating for the event, Photo Ops and Autograph sessions with Michael J. Fox for Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 and Christopher Lloyd for Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9 during NYCC. Packages, Photo Ops, and Autographs will go on sale on Friday, September 9 at 1:00 PM ET, ranging in prices from $59-$999 and full information will be available on NYCC’s Photo Op landing page. Fans unable to attend NYCC in person this year who would like autographs from Christopher Lloyd can send an item to SWAU, ReedPop’s official send-in Autograph partner, to be returned.

Each year, NYCC brings together the biggest names in pop culture, the world’s top comic creators, and thousands of fans to celebrate the fandoms they love. This year’s guest announcements are continuing to roll out, with previously announced guests including Oscar Isaac, star of Marvel’s Moon KnightStar Wars, and Dune, literary greats Brandon Sanderson, Diana Gabaldon, R. L. Stine and Leigh Bardugo, comic legends Frank Miller, Greg Capullo and Frank Cho, and celebrity stars Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young from Shadow and Bone,  Rachel Leigh Cook from She’s All ThatSpongeBob SquarePants’ Tom Kenny and Rodger Bumpass, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Melissa Navia, and Anson Mount. 

Tickets are now on sale to the general public for New York Comic Con 2022, and the final ticket mailing deadline is Wednesday, September 14 at 11:59 PM ET.  Fans are also invited to sign up to become Popverse Superfans at thepopverse.com to receive access to convention coverage, how-to and shopping guides, deep dives into popular fandoms, and more.  

NYCC takes place on October 6-9, 2022 at the Javits Center in NYC with a must-see slate of special guests, panelists, exhibitors, artists, and more.

Carrie Fisher, Michael J Fox, Christopher Lloyd and More to Attend Wizard World Chicago

princess leiaWizard World, Inc., has announced that Star Wars’ Carrie Fisher will make her first Wizard World appearance ever in Chicago, where she will join the Back to the Future trio of Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson. Also, The X-FilesGillian Anderson will join the previously announced David Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi & William B. Davis for a cast reunion, August 20-21!

The beloved Back to the Future stars will take part in a Wizard World Q&A panel, hosted by Michael Klastorin, the production publicist on the second and third films in the series, and author of “Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History.”  The panel will discuss entertaining behind the scenes stories of the making of the films, and reflect upon the impact the film has had on movie-going fans of all ages for more than three decades!

Located at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, they will join previously announced guests including Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead), the cast of Netflix’s “Marvel’s Daredevil” including Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher), Elodie Yung (Elektra Natchios), and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), and more.

Back to the Future Variant Comic for Michael J. Fox VIPs in Philadelphia

Back to the Future VariantFans of the blockbuster franchise Back to the Future have been abuzz about the upcoming rare triple appearance of stars Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd at Wizard World Philadelphia. As an extra bonus, fans purchasing any of the Michael J. Fox VIP packages at the comic con and gaming event, set for June 2-5 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover edition of the Back to the Future #1 comic drawn by superstar artist Luis Antonio Delgado at registration, while supplies last.

Wizard World, Inc. announced in January that Fox will appear at the event on Saturday, June 4; Thompson is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5, and Lloyd will attend Friday through Sunday, June 3-5.

Delgado, a noted colorist known for his work on the “Ghostbusters” series as well as “Back to the Future,” Don Pendleton’s “The Executioner,” “Duke Nukem” and other popular works, is a native of Mexico City. He will be on hand in Artist Alley at Wizard World Philadelphia to sign copies of his work (fees may apply).

In “Untold Tales and Alternate Timelines,” Part 1: Back to the Future creator/screenwriter Bob Gale returns with all-new tales from the twisting and turning timeline that made Back to the Future a, well… timeless pop-culture phenomenon! Take a trip back to 1985 and be there when Doc Brown and Marty McFly first meet, and then jump even farther back, to 1945, to witness Doc’s involvement in the super-secret Manhattan Project!

Philadelphia show hours are Thursday, June 2, 3-8 p.m.; Friday, June 3, noon-7 p.m.; Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, June 5, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

NEW YORK and ROSEMONT, Ill., June 22, 2011 – North America’s largest pop-culture tour continues as Wizard World Chicago Comic Con returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, August 11-14, with superstar guests Patrick Stewart, Bruce Campbell, Christopher Lloyd, Morena Baccarin, Felicia Day, Academy Award Winner® Lou Gossett Jr. and James Marsters headlining the list of celebrity attendees.  The event will bring together thousands of fans of all ages and dozens of celebrities and industry professionals to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.

Stewart (X-MEN, “Star Trek: The Next Generation”) will attend on Friday and Saturday only.  Campbell (“Burn Notice,” ARMY OF DARKNESS) and Day (“The Guild,” “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”) are scheduled to appear on Saturday and Sunday.  The three-time Emmy Award winner Lloyd (BACK TO THE FUTURE, “Taxi”) and Baccarin (“V,” “Stargate SG-1”) will be available on Saturday only.  Marsters (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Caprica”) is scheduled for Friday through Sunday.

The convention center floor will also feature several famous TV and movie vehicles for fans to pose with, including the Batmobile (original “Batman” series), DeLorean Time Machine (BACK TO THE FUTURE), The Mystery Machine (SCOOBY DOO) and Ecto-1 (GHOSTBUSTERS).

Children and adult attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite villain, superhero or pop culture personality for the chance to win special prizes in costume contests.  Event-goers may also try their hand interactive product exhibits and shop for collectible comics, movie and television memorabilia, toys and games at more than 200 dealer booths.

And Sunday, August 14, is Kids Day at Chicago Comic Con, with face painting, balloons, a “passport” treasure hunt and other activities designed especially for kids!  Other special events include card gaming tournaments, professional photo opportunities (Photo Ops) and more.

Chicago Comic Con is the seventh stop on Wizard World’s 2011 North American tour.  Hours are Thursday, August 11, 5 – 9 p.m.; Friday, August 12, noon – 8 p.m.; Saturday, August 13, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, August 14, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Tickets are available in advance online at http://www.wizardworld.com/chicago.html at a savings over tickets purchased at the door.  Advance adult single-day tickets are priced at $25 ($35 on site); four-day all-session tickets are $50 ($60 on site), and tickets are free for children age 10 and under when accompanied by a paid adult (limit two children per adult).  VIP packages with special entry and exclusive items are also available on a limited basis.
