Exclusive: Dark Horse reveals Merry-Go-Round from Sergio Rossie and Agnese Innocente

We have the exclusive reveal that Dark Horse Books will be working with writer Sergio Rossie and illustrator and colorist Agnese Innocente to present Merry-Go-Round. This is the first time the graphic novel will be released in English and will be translated by Carla Roncalli di Montorio.

Life as a teenager is full of challenges and learning moments, from love triangles to missed appointments and beyond. Merry-Go-Round features the stories of a group of young people just trying to get through their day-to-day life, all while romance and simply growing up are throwing roadblocks along the way. Based on the Arthur Schnitzler play by the same name, this volume is a perfect encapsulation of growing up, and trying to figure everything out. 

Merry-Go-Round was the 2021 winner of the Anderson Prize for “Best Comic book”:

When Everything Turned Blue in English for the First Time in October

From Alessandro Baronciani comes When Everything Turned Blue, an intimate story of one woman’s journey toward acceptance and healing. First released in Italy by Bao Publishing in 2020, Dark Horse presents this graphic novel in English for the first time, translated by Carla Roncalli di Montorio.

Chiara lives her life afraid of many things, but most of all the fear of an undiagnosed illness. As she delves further and further down a rabbit hole of denial and disassociation, she will be forced to make a decision that will alter her life forever.

Dark Horse International Expands with Gert and the Sacred Stones and Papaya Salad

From Italian publisher Tunué, creators Marco Rocchi and Francesca Carità, and translator Jamie Richards comes middle-grade graphic novel Gert and the Sacred Stones, available in English for the first time!

Gert and the Sacred Stones is a story of heart, bravery, and conflict.
