DC Announces Green Lantern: Doomed Cosmos from Dan Watters and Kyle Hotz

In an alternate corner of the DC Universe, humanity has become a scourge upon the stars when writer Dan Watters and artist Kyle Hotz launch Green Lantern: Doomed Cosmos, a new six-issue DC Elseworlds series that transforms the Green Lantern mythology into a sprawling cosmic war where the human race is the enemy and Hal Jordan may be the universe’s best hope for survival.

For centuries, the Empire of Humanity has swept across the universe, laying siege to the cosmos planet by planet until all kneel before the might of the human race. Only the heavily militarized Green Lantern Corps dares oppose the human crusade.

And no human has ever fought for the Corps against the Empire. Until Hal Jordan.

Once a soldier fighting on behalf of humanity, Hal was betrayed by his battle-brother Oliver Queen and left for dead on an alien world. Rescued and deprogrammed by the Green Lantern Corps, Hal is now the Corps’ only human warrior and a powerful strategic weapon in its war against humankind. Hal’s blood-soaked odyssey will carry him through the burning ruins of a DC Universe unlike any readers have seen before, as Hal fights for peace by taking the battle to the shores of Hell itself.

This is a world where there is no joy and no peace to be found, only an intergalactic crusade and the few heroes still willing to stand against it. Across six issues, Watters and Hotz push the DC Universe to outrageous new extremes, reimagining familiar heroes, villains, worlds, and alliances as the war for the cosmos grows increasingly unpredictable.

Green Lantern: Doomed Cosmos #1, written by Dan Watters with art and a main cover by Kyle Hotz, colors by Dan Brown and letters by Steve Wands, arrives at participating comic book shops and digital retailers on January 20, 2027. Issue #1 also features variant covers by Björn Barends, Steve Beach, and Ashley Wood, plus a foil variant cover by Barends. The 32-page debut issue is $4.99 US, with card stock variants available for $5.99 US and the foil variant for $7.99 US.

Dan Watters Takes on The Terminator for a Valentine’s Day Special

It’s a double celebration, as The Terminator marks Valentine’s Day early and superstar writer Dan Watters makes his solo Dynamite debut! Dynamite Entertainment and STUDIOCANAL are bringing this special treat to fans this January.

Watters brings readers a love story like no other. Jack and Jill met at work, with one of those fairytale romances in a whirlwind of love. Even after a year together, they could barely keep their hands off each other. That is, until last week. Jill has found that Jack barely looks at her anymore, never mind tries to touch her. What’s happened to this once picture-perfect relationship?

The answer is that Jack has become single-mindedly obsessed with work. He’s locked in on the upcoming project they’ve both been working on, the background track to their passionate entanglement. Their employer Cyberdyne, the Cyber Dynamics Systems Corporation, has a major product launch — literally — around the corner. Their first surveillance satellite is scheduled to lift off February 14, 1987!

Can love survive at the genesis of Skynet, before the rise of the machines, and as the terrifying Terminators loom in the future? Find out in this new 30-page story landing in everyone’s reading pile ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Watters is joined by virtuoso artist Pasquale Qualano, marking his first foray with The Terminator, following fan-favorite runs with Vampirella, Red Sonja, Gargoyles, and Supernatural.

NYCC 2026: AC Pop Comics reveals an exclusive Something Is Killing the Children #50 Blind Bag

AC Pop Comics is heading to New York Comic Con 2026 with an exclusive Something Is Killing the Children #50 Blind Bags. Limited to 4,000 bags, each features 3 unique books per bag. Each blind bag retails for $60.

AC Pop Comics’ blind bags feature six covers by Kael Ngu, Federico Mele, Bjorn Barends, John Giang, Ejikure, and Stephen Segovia, each in three variations.

SDCC 2026: Vampirella and Capcom’s Darkstalkers Cross Paths in Long-Wanted Crossover!

Dynamite Entertainment and UDON Entertainment have announced a crossover fans have been craving for years! The first-ever pairing of the video game sensation of Capcom‘s Darkstalkers and the first lady of comic book horror Vampirella is coming this fall!

The Daughter of Drakulon and hunter of the night is on the trail of a soul-sucking succubus whose habits defy those of earthbound fiends. Meanwhile Morrigan, princess of the demon realm of the Makai, has been shirking her royal duties and sneaking away to Earth to indulge in the delicious dreams and souls of lowly humans. In this hotly anticipated crossover, the two women engage in a cat and mouse game across New York City. They’re both aware of their own shocking similarities as outsider monsters on Earth, unique vampire-like creatures.
