Aspen Comics Headed to Big Wow! ComicFest

Aspen Comics will be exhibiting at Big Wow! ComicFest in San Jose, California, April 18th and 19th at booth #601.

Frank Mastromauro (Shrugged), Peter Steigerwald (The ZooHunters), Siya Oum, (Lola XOXO) Mark Roslan (BubbleGun), and Heather Finley (Executive Assistant: Iris Annual) will be in attendance.

Aspen will have a Big Wow! Comicfest exclusive variant cover limited to 200 by Oum, available for their Wednesday release Executive Assistant: Iris Annual #1, which collects three all-new stories in the Executive Assistant universe. As well, there will be three exclusive prints available for purchase among Aspen’s usual selection of industry leading prints: Executive Assistant: Iris by Joe Benitez (Lady Mechanika), The Four Points #1 variant by Khary Randolph (Charismagic), and Shahrazad #1 variant by Oum. Limited quantities of all convention exclusives will be available on www.AspenStore.com following the event.

The publisher will also have a panel on Saturday, April 18th at noon in Room 230C: The Official Aspen Comics Big Wow! Panel 2015, during which they will detail upcoming releases and unveil never-before-seen art.

BOOM! Heads to Big Wow ComicFest!

Big Wow ComicFestBOOM! Studios’ has announced they’ll be attending the Big WOW! ComicFest, to be held during the weekend of May 17-18 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.

They’ll be setting up at Booth 901 and will host artists Allison Strejlau and Missy Pena, who will both be sketching all weekend. Fans can request and purchase custom sketches for $20 on blank Get-A-Sketch covers of KaBOOM! titles like Adventure Time and Regular Show. Copies of recent comics and graphic novels published by BOOM!, KaBOOM!. Archaia, and BOOM! Box will be available for sale.

Flare Superhero Card Game Debuts At Big Wow Comicfest In San Jose!

HELP PLAYTEST THE FLARE SUPERHERO CARD GAME AT THE BIG WOW! COMICFEST IN SAN JOSE, MAY 19-20!

Ever wanted to help playtest a new game before it goes on sale?

You’ll be able to do that on May 19 and 20 at this year’s Big Wow! Comicfest in San Jose, California!

Comics’ shining goddess of light, FLARE, is scheduled to visit the Big Wow! ComicFest this year in person! And she’s bringing with her a prototype of her brand-new superhero card game! It’s Heroes vs Villains, as you get to figure out the best tactics and strategies that will enable your favorite hero to work (or maybe compete) with other heroes in bringing down the threat of a series of seven powerful supervillains and their evil minions.

But watch out! Because the villains get ever more powerful. And if you don’t build up your own resources, and if you don’t bring the bad guys down quickly when they first show up, your opponents might just get so powerful that you won’t be able to bring them down at all!

There are demos scheduled every two hours on Saturday and Sunday. But space is limited! No more than eight players can be accommodated in each time slot. So get ready to help out with the FLARE Superhero Card Game playtest demo, and reserve one of the remaining open slots for yourself today.
