The Triptych of Terror comes to The Last Comic Book on the Left

The fevered minds behind The Last Podcast on the LeftMarcus Parks, Henry Zebrowski, and Ben Kissel, have once more joined unholy forces with Z2 Comics for a third tome in the The Last Comic Book on the Left series. Overflowing with stories equally heretic and hilarious, this new anthology has ensnared a new batch of writers and artists to conjure more macabre and profane sequential art inspired by the podcast, featuring doomed descents into Norwegian Black Metal, the Andreasson Affair, the Hollow Moon, and the Edgewood Arsenal (among others).

What other degenerates have been recruited into this brochure of the wicked?

  • Eliot Rahal (Amelia Aierwood: Basic Witch, Cheech & Chong’s Chronicles)
  • Bob Fingerman (Minimum WageBeg the Question)
  • Brennan Wagner (Blondie: Against the Odds)
  • Jenna Cha (Black Stars Above)
  • Grim Wilkins (Mirenda, Prophet)
  • Maria Lovett (Faithless, Porcelain)
  • Josh Simmons (Black River, Flayed Corpse)
  • Bayard Morse (The Last Comic Book on the Left)
  • Eryk Donovan (Heavy, Memetic
  • Jade Young

In addition, Marcus Parks and Henry Zebrowski will step out from the bullpen to write their own stories in this new volume. Legendary creator Matt Wagner (MageGrendel) provides the cover art for the deluxe edition with repeat offender Bob Fingerman returning to provide cover art on the standard edition; Rob Schwager illustrated the hardback.

Like the first two volumes of The Last Comic Book on the Left, a series of prints will come bundled with deluxe editions of the book. Artists and subjects include:

  • Maria Lovett, Vampires
  • Rob Schwager, The Flatwoods Monster
  • Jade Young, Curse of the Kelpie

From the creators of The Last Podcast On The Left, exorcism just got a whole lot easier. After attending a seminar hosted in a hotel conference room by a mysterious group called the Soul Plumbers, Edgar Wiggins, disgraced former seminary school student, discovers what he thinks is the secret to delivering souls from the thrall of Satan. But after stealing the blueprints and building the machine himself, out of whatever he can afford from his salary as a gas station attendant, Edgar misses the demon and instead pulls out an inter-dimensional alien with dire consequences for all of mankind.

Soul Plumber Comes to DC Horror

Finally, exorcism made easy in DC Horror Presents: Soul Plumber.

From Marcus Parks, Henry Zebrowski, and Ben Kissel, the hosts of “The Last Podcast on the Left,” comes a new six-issue series that dives deep into the sewers of the human soul—also, there are demons.

Edgar Wiggins, a disgraced former seminary student, is desperate to find a way to answer what he believes is his higher calling. He thinks he’s found it in a seminar hosted in a hotel conference room by the Soul Plumbers, who have a machine that could be the secret to delivering souls from Satan. Edgar’s too broke to buy in, but that’s not enough to stop this true devotee: he steals the blueprints and builds a pirated version with what components he can afford on his gas station attendant salary.  Then he goes after a demon, misses… and ends up pulling out something much worse.

With gorgeous art by John McCreaSoul Plumber is a hilarious, horrifying roller coaster ride for fans of comics, fans of horror, and fans of horror comics. Issue #1 will be available wherever comics are sold on October 5, and digitally on the same day for DC Universe Infinite Subscribers. In keeping with the Comics Code Authority, this one’s not for the kids and has an age rating of 17+. It features a main cover by McCrea, open order variant by Tom Neeley, and 1:25 variant by Riley Rossmo.
