The Creep Serves Up Cellblock Terror and a Dearly Devoted (Departed) Husband in Creepshow Vol. 5 #2

Skybound and Image Comics have shared interior art and variant covers for Creepshow Vol. 5 #2, the next issue of the hugely popular comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s Shudder TV series. Creepshow Vol.5 #2 features stories by the creative team of Chris Killian and Andrew Sanders, Baldemar Rivas and Tyler Crook and arrives in comic book shops on October 21, perfectly timed for Halloween reading.  

In the spirit of all iterations of Creepshow in pop culture, every issue of the Creepshow comic series comes packed with two stomach-churning stories from your favorite creators, designed to shock, disturb, and delight in equal measure. 

In Creepshow Vol.5 #2, Chris Killian, Andrew Sanders, and Baldemar Rivas present a skull-cracking tale about a former corrections officer who’s imprisoned in the very cellblock he used to patrol. Let’s hope his new roommates can forgive and forget before they call for…. lights out! Then, Tyler Crook tells the touching story of a devoted husband who will stop at nothing to protect the ones he loves, even from beyond the grave. It’ll rip your heart out! 

In addition to the main cover by Kyle Hotz and Dan Brown, Creepshow Vol. 5 #2 features two open-to-order variant covers by Baldemar Rivas and Luana Vecchio.

Skybound and Image Comics announced a fifth volume of Creepshow, the hugely popular comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Evoke Entertainment Company. 

The Eisner Award-nominated horror anthology returns with more nightmare fuel and two new shuddersome stories in every issue from your favorite creators! 

Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 will feature stories by the inimitable comics talent of Tyler Boss, Francesca Ciregia, and Lorenzo De Felici. 

In the spirit of all iterations of Creepshow in pop culture, every issue of the Creepshow comic series comes packed with two stomach-churning stories from your favorite creators, designed to shock, disturb, and delight in equal measure. 

In the debut issue of the fifth volume, Tyler Boss and Francesca Ciregia give you a show you’ll never forget when tensions (and body parts) are stretched too thin between clown colleagues. *honk honk*

Then, Lorenzo De Felici will pique your curiosity when a mysterious object from space begins to wipe out humanity, can the last surviving astronaut trace its origins? 

In addition to the main cover by Kyle Hotz and Dan Brown, Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 comes with a lineup of variant covers, including open to order covers by Francesca Ciregia and Luana Vecchio. 

Creepshow Vol. 5 boasts an all-star creative roster including Stephanie Williams, Brian Witten, Tyler Crook, Yasmin Angoe, Joshua Hixson, Baldemar Rivas, Leandro Fernandez, and more. 

The Creepshow comic miniseries deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment. 

Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 (of 5) (Lunar Codes Coming Soon | SRP $3.99) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Skybound Entertainment, Image Comics, and Universal Products & Experiences have revealed the connecting variant cover lineup by Anwita Citriya for Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera #1, from the dream team of Tyler Boss and Martin Simmonds. The first installment of this shocking new reimagining of Phantom of the Opera will hit comic book shops on February 25, 2026.

The all-new connecting variant covers by talented horror artist Anwita Citriya spans the entirety of the limited series; featuring the leading lady, Christine, the Phantom himself, and the ghastly mysteries behind the Paris Opera House curtain.
