Titan Comics Launch Tomorrowland!

Tomorrowland#1-coverTitan Comics and Atomeka have announced a new comic series Tomorrowland, a four issue series by Paul Jenkins and Stellar Labs. The comic is based on the Tomorrowland electronic dance music festival which will expand for the first time outside of Belgium to Chattahooche Hills, Georgia this September 27 through 29.

The music fest has already sold out of its 180,000 tickets for the Belgium festival which takes place in July. That sell out occurred in under one second. Attendees are from over 214 countries and the festival features some of the hottest music acts.

Paul Jenkins and the team at Stellar Labs get to adapt the comic which follows DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, two young stars who have become the public face of the Tomorrowland festival as they are drawn into an impossible adventure to save the vital spark of creativity from the forces that would destroy it! Dimitri and Mike, two Belgian brothers, have been closely associated to the festival for the past few years and were the obvious choice to lead the way in this new Tomorrowland adventure.

There are two worlds – the world we see, and the one we sense. The world we see is a harsh place: divided by wars and political extremism, religious fundamentalism and avarice. The world we sense hides in plain sight: you can see it in your peripheral vision, moving, vibrant. It’s a world of feeling, where art, music and science intertwine, where the written word is a powerful tool of creation.

In these two worlds, we each carry two avatars – one embodying destruction, one connected to creation. This is the way of the universe. But creation and destruction wage an eternal war for the energy we carry inside us. It’s a war that we are rapidly losing…

Tomorrowland #1 will hit comic stores on July 17, 2013. The series will also be available to read day and date on the iPad, iPhone, Web, Android and Kindle Fire, exclusively through the comiXology app and comiXology.com

Titan Comics Launches Sharky!

Titan Comics LogoTitan Comics and ATOMEKA have announced Sharky – the first in an irreverent, thrilling, genre-mashing graphic novel series by Dave Elliott and Alex Horley.

Sharky has been raised alone by his single mom, with no idea of who his ‘love’em and leave’em’ father was. Hitting the brick wall called puberty, he discovers that the ‘no-good-S.O.B.’ who contributed to his genes is none other than Odin, king of the Norse Gods – and his mother is a child of Zeus, ruler of Olympus!

Now, whenever something sets off his hormones, he transforms into the demi-god Sharky – complete with a pumped-up body The Rock would kill to have – and the strength of Hercules!

When two of the black sheep of his family tree visit Earth and create havoc by raising the dead as an army to take over the world, Sharky has to pick sides, with the fate of the planet at stake. With no time for training, it’s a case of working out Superhero 101 as he goes – and if he fails, his friends’ lives are forfeit!

Sharky also comes complete with cameo appearances from indie comics favorites The Mask, Vampirella, Savage Dragon, Milk & Cheese, Mr Monster and Flaming Carrot!

Sharky hits shelves, both physical and digital, September 11, 2013.
