Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: New Horus Heresy and Legions Imperialis!
There’s lots to choose from in next week’s Games Workshop Pre-Orders for those that enjoy the Age of Darkness. There’s multiple new releases for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy as well as Legions Imperialis. See what you’ll be able to get below!
Shadrak Meduson, Master of the Shattered Legions survived the Drop Site Massacre and gathered what remained of his comrades to escape and fight another day. He, and his Shattered Legions, plagued the Warmaster’s forces.
Hibou Khan, Seeker of Atonement wasn’t happy with his Legion standing on the side of the Emperor and plotted to forcibly side with Horus’ Legion. Hibou Khan was eventually humbled and given the chance to atone by upping the body count of traitor’s with his two-handed power sword, Breath of the Storm.
Tybalt Marr, Captain of the 18th Company was tasked with hunting down Shadrak Meduson. He slew many members of the Shattered Legions with his weapon, the Culling Blade.
‘Little’ Horus Aximand, Captain of the 5th Company was one of the Warmaster’s most devout Captains. Aximand has a knack for surviving terrible sounds and can out-duel all but the most skilled opponent with his powered broadsword Mourn-it-all.
You can customize your force with Legiones Astartes Command Squads. Two new Command Squad boxes add squads of five Chosen in either MKVI or MKIII power armour. Each is armed with power swords and combat shields, while one hoists a large and detailed Legion banner with your choice of Loyalist or Traitor iconography. There is also a Legion Command Upgrade Set that has all of the new pieces contained in the boxes.



For Legions Imperialis comes the Legiones Astartes Battle Group. This boxed set contains a huge assortment of miniatures: four Kratos Heavy Tanks, ten Rhino transports, four Leviathan Dreadnoughts, four Deredeo Dreadnoughts, four Rapier batteries, four Tarantulas, two Command Squads, eight Tactical Legionary bases, two Terminator bases, two Assault Marine bases, four Support Legionary bases, four Contemptor Dreadnoughts, four Outrider bases, six Scimitar jetbike bases, four Javelins, and four Land Speeders.
The Legiones Astartes Predator Squadron feature either a Predator cannon or twin-linked lascannons with a choice of heavy bolters or lascannon sponsons. The box features six tanks along with a sheet of decals.
The Solar Auxilia Battle Group features two Baneblade super-heavy tanks that can alternately be built as Hellhammers, twelve Rapier batteries, four Cyclops remote bombs, twelve Tarantula sentry guns, two Legate Commander bases, eight Auxiliary bases, four Veletarii bases, four Auxiliary bases with flamers, four Charonite Ogryn bases, four Aethon Heavy Sentinels, six Dracosan transport tanks, and eight Leman Russ Strike tanks outfitted with battle cannons or Vanquisher cannons.
There’s also the Solar Auxilia Leman Russ Strike Squadron which features eight Strike tanks with the choice of battle cannon and the anti-tank Vanquisher cannon. You also get to pick between a heavy bolter or lascannon on the hull.
There’s also a whole lot of Adeptus Titanicus and Aeronautica Imperialis models returning to the range for use in Legions Imperialis.










From Black Library comes the Sanctum Imperialis Palatine Map. This A2-sized map was originally included only with the Limited Edition release of Echoes of Eternity and is now available for all collectors, printed on cotton and presented in a classy faux-leather wrap secured with a leather cord and metal pendant.
Wanderers of the Realms eShort Subscription Week is a new week of five stores from the Mortal Realms and kicks off on June 17. Each story can be purchased separately or get all five for a reduced price.
War for the Mortal Realms get French and German Editions. The French edition of this book contains the novels Soul Wars by Josh Reynolds and Dominion by Darius Hinks, as well as the short stories Sacrosanct by C L Werner and The Fist of an Angry God by William King.
The German edition includes the above plus three interstitial stories by Black Library titled A Memory of Thunder, Waking Gods, and All Things… that tie together the different eras. Both books will be available in paperback and eBook formats.
