Absolute Wonder Woman #3 (DC Comics) – We’re intrigued to see where this series differs from the main Wonder Woman and see the “Absolute” world fleshed out more.

Black Canary: Best of the Best #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was interesting with Black Canary taking on Lady Shiva and there’s some solid motivation. Overall, the first issue has us wanting to check out what’s to come and how it all plays out.

Dust to Dust #1 (Image Comics) – A serial killer during the Dust Bowl has us intrigued.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #312 (Skybound) – The series has been over the top fun as Cobra Commander, Serpentor Khan, G.I. Joe, and now Destro battle it out.

Hellhunters #1 (Marvel) – Ghost Rider fighting Nazis. Nuff said as to why we’re excited about this.

Justice League Unlimited #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was fantastic with a grand vision and an interesting take on the Justice League. There’s a solid positive take on the superhero concept that has us excited to read more.

Kidpool/Spider-Boy #1 (Marvel) – We’re hoping this is the Marvel version of DC’s Super Sons.

Metamorpho: The Element Man #1 (DC Comics) – Al Ewing and Steve Lieber teaming for Metamorpho? Yeah, we’re in.

Timeslide #1 (Marvel) – It’s a tease of what’s coming in 2025! Every year is interesting with this concept.

Ultimate Black Panther #11 (Marvel) – There’s a tease of a new villain plus the new Sorcerer Supreme has added something to the mix.

Uncanny Valley #7 (BOOM! Studios) – The series has had amazing art and an interesting world that mixes the real world with cartoons in a Who Framed Roger Rabbit like concept.

Void Rivals #15 (Skybound) – Hot Rod has entered the chat.

West Coast Avengers #2 (Marvel) – The first issue was fun and we’re excited to see Firestar being added to the team and the fallout of her time with Orchis.

Absolute Batman #3 (DC Comics) – It’s a rock and roll back to basics take on Batman and we’re down for it.

Batman and Robin: Year One #3 (DC Comics) – Mark Waid and Chris Samnee are putting on a masterclass with this series. It’ll be a modern classic the way it’s going.

Challengers of the Unknown #1 (DC Comics) – The classic group is back and we’re intrigued as to what this series will be liked based on their appearances in other “All In” series.

G.I. Joe #2 (Skybound) – The first issue was fantastic bringing together the Joes for the first time but it ended in tragedy and has us at the edge of our seats.

Hellverine #1 (Marvel) – The concept is silly but there’s times that’s exactly what you need and want.

Missing on the Moon #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – Crime runs rampant on a Lunar colony in 1997. Yeah, we’re in for this noir comic.

The New Gods #1 (DC Comics) – The classic characters are back and we’re excited to see what’s done with them!

The Power Fantasy #5 (Image Comics) – Every issue has been fantastic so far and this is one series that’ll keep people talking and coming back to longer after it’s done.

Power Rangers Prime #2 (BOOM! Studios) – It’s the Power Rangers remixed and we’re intrigued as to where it’s going after that debut issue.

The Question: All Along the Watchtower #2 (DC Comics) – We’re suckers for a good mystery and the first issue was setting up a good one.

Spectregraph #4 (DSTLRY) – The previous issue really got our attention with its teases to real history and we want to see if and how that’s used.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5 (IDW Publishing) – If you’re a Turtles fan or have wanted to check them out, this latest volume is the perfect jumping in point.

TVA #1 (Marvel) – There’s some issues with the TVA in the Marvel comic universe but we’re intrigued by its inclusion and increased profile due to the live action stuff.

Ultimate Spider-Man #12 (Marvel) – One of the best comic series on the shelf right now.

War on Gaza (Fantagraphics Books) – While we don’t always agree with what Joe Sacco says or reports, we’re always interested in listening to what he has to say.

Yellow (Dark Horse) – Set in an alternate future amid a Second Civil War, wounded infantryman Nick Carson flees the battlefield and escapes across the wasteland of war-torn America. We’re suckers for that sort of story.

Alien Paradiso #1 (Marvel) – Colonial Marshals head to Paradiso, a hidden gem where the money flows like blood, to bust a smuggling ring. We expect all hell to break loose.

Batman: Dark Patterns #1 (DC Comics) – Set during the early years of Batman’s career, Batman: Dark Patterns delves into four mysterious cases as he attempts to cement his place as Gotham City’s protector while the city itself fights back against him.

City Beneath Her Feet #1 (DSTLRY) – A bloody love letter to New York City, the series is an action/thriller love story from James Tynion IV and Elsa Charretier.

Conan the Barbarian #17 (Titan Comics) – One of the most consistent comics on the shelves. If you’re into classic sword and sorcery, this is one to not be missed.

FML #2 (Dark Horse) – As Portland smolders, an airplane door falls from the sky, flinging Riley’s Mom into a trauma-induced reverie. This leads to a bizarre encounter with physicist Richard Feynman and ends with a gathering of middle-aged riot grrrls united to solve the murder that haunts them all.

Holiday Special: Through the Boughs #1 (DSTLRY) – A one-shot collection from some impressive talent!

In Bloom #1 (BOOM! Studios) – While the concept of fungus infecting and changing people isn’t new, we’re always up for some sci-fi horror like this.

Laura Kinney: Wolverine #1 (Marvel) – We’re excited to see how this series stands out from the rest of the X lineup.

Minor Arcana #4 (BOOM! Studios) – Jeff Lemire creator-owned series. Nuff said.

Space Ghost #8 (Dynamite Entertainment) – The painful events of the past meet the brutal events of the present as Space Ghost and Metallus clash – and while these titans do battle, Space Ghost’s young allies learn the shocking secrets behind their mentor’s tragic history! We want to know!

Transformers #15 (Skybound) – The Transformers universe has been awesome so far. It’s taken familiar characters and concepts and twisted them up. Now we have Starscream with his own faction looking for revenge and we’re expecting fireworks.

Ultimate Universe: One Year In #1 (Marvel) – It’s been one year of the Ultimate Universe and we want to see what secrets come out of this.

Warm Fusion #1 (DSTLRY) – A future New York City has been devastated by crime, ongoing storms, radiation from a terrorist incident, and genetic mutations. A lone cop and a victim confront a sociopathic scientist.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 (Marvel) – A tie-in to the upcoming animated series!

All-New Venom #1 (Marvel) – We want to know who the new Venom is!

Archaic #1 (AHOY Comics) – A broke single mom desperate to protect her kids from vicious criminals trying to collect on her ex-husband’s debts. Following a mysterious message, Tess flees to the mysterious island of Demonde-a place of demons, legendary creatures, and a family secret that just might cost Tess her life.

Avengers #21 (Marvel) – Avengers vs. X-Men has our eyes rolling a bit but this will sow the seeds for something to come, so feels key.

DC’s Batman Smells, Robin Laid an Egg #1 (DC Comics) – With that title, how can we not read this?

Final Interview #1 (Scout Comics/Dark Harbor) – At global powerhouse LifeWay, Inc., four candidates for a mysterious promotion get pushed to their limits by a Rabbit-masked interviewer. Mind games and moral tests pit Tori, Hal, Iggy, and Brett against each other. By the end, one applicant is dead and the other three are prisoners, but even larger problems loom: the Red Door, a fanatical terrorist movement, has infiltrated LifeWay.

Flavor Girls: Return to the Mothership #1 (BOOM! Studios) – As Sara tries her best to keep up as the newest member of the team, the Flavor Girls embark on a journey to Okinawa to uncover the mysteries of an ancient civilization…

Juvenile #1 (Image Comics) – In the future, a deadly virus kills everyone upon reaching adulthood. Teenagers are confined to medical facilities, until a mysterious new patient arrives with a shocking secret. The virus ins’t killing adults, it’s giving them telekinetic abilities.

Long Cold Winter #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – In the not-too-distant future, the air on Earth has become unbreathable. However, a multinational company called Air Co. has constructed generators that provide oxygen for those who can afford it. Peace Dog, a desperate ex-soldier, who has been willing to do anything to obtain breathable air is haunted by his past and hunted by bounty hunters, though, he may have found a way out of his current predicament by helping a mysterious robot child escape the dangerous and congested city.

Two-Face #1 (DC Comics) – The recent Penguin series was great and we’re hoping this series is close to that quality.

ThunderCats: Apex #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Who is Apex? Find out!

The Ultimates #7 (Marvel) – Did that member really die? With this new world, it’s a possibility!

Whatever Happened to Frankie King (Graphic Mundi) – Frankie King was a precocious student and a promising basketball player at Brooklyn’s James Madison High School in the early 1950s. Sportswriters were comparing Frankie to the greatest college and professional players of all time, and he was recruited as a starting guard at the University of North Carolina. But Frankie dropped out before playing a single game. This graphic novel follows King’s enigmatic life from its auspicious start in the limelight to his very reclusive existence in New York City, where he authored more than forty novels.

Feral #8 (Image Comics) – The series has been an amazing mix of horror, dread, and heart wrenching tears.

Justice League Unlimited #1 (DC Comics) – It’s a new Justice League with a grander line-up. We want to see where this new vision goes and what challenges they’ll face in the “All In” era.

Lebanon is Burning and Other Dispatches (Graphic Mundi) – A very educational graphic novel about the protests and uprisings in the Middle East in the 2010s.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4 (IDW Publishing) – The new volume has been great in story and art as each focuses on individual Turtles allowing for new spins for long time fans and easy entry points for new readers.

Ultimate Black Panther #10 (Marvel) – We want to know the deal with this take on vibranium!

Void Rivals #14 (Skybound) – The series has been building on the Transformers mythos in interesting ways and with G.I. JOE’s collision with the series looming, we’re pumped for each issue.

West Coast Avengers #1 (Marvel) – Ultron’s on the team!?

Batman and Robin: Year One #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was absolutely amazing with Mark Waid and Chris Samnee teaming for an early adventure of Batman and Robin. Great storytelling and amazing art.

Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter #5 (DC Comics/Elseworlds) – The storytelling has been amazing but the use of color is unreal. A fantastic fantasy series.

Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet #1 (DC Comics/Milestone) – The return of the Milestone Universe has been a bit bumpy and silent for a bit now. This might kick off a resurgence?

Minor Arcana #3 (BOOM! Studios) – The first chapter of Jeff Lemire’s original series wraps up!

The Pedestrian #4 (Magma Comix) – The series is utterly bizarre but might be our favorite new hero of the year?

The Question: All Along the Watchtower #1 (DC Comics) – Who watches the watchtower? There’s a dark threat bubbling and the Question needs to figure out who the problem is before it’s too late.

Rocketfellers #1 (Image Comics/Ghost Machine) – Ghost Machine’s latest series feels a bit like the Fantastic Four and with Peter J. Tomasi and Francis Manapul behind it, we’re excited to see how similar they are!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto #1 (IDW Publishing) – There’s been some great crossover comics with the Turtles lately and this one was unexpected and we’re all in on it.

ThunderCats #10 (Dynamite) – A standalone issue from the perspective of the attacking Mu’Tants!

Ultimate Spider-Man #11 (Marvel) – The series has been great and though it’s going in a predictable nature, we’re here to see all of the drama and action.

Where Monsters Lie: Cull De Sac #2 (Dark Horse Comics) – The series is focused on where serial killers live when they’re not out during their thing and this sleepy community is going to be not so sleepy we think.

You Never Heard of Me #1 (Dark Horse Comics) – The ability to touch someone and see both the best and the worst moment of their life, be it past or future, means the ability to try to change things for the better. Such power can feel like a curse, especially if you’re a teenage seer who thinks he has enough problems. Read our early review!

Arcbound #1 (Dark Horse) – We’ve been dubious about comics written by celebrities but this one from Tom Hardy features Scott Snyder and Frank Tieri to help write it and Ryan Smallman on art.

Battle Action #1 (Rebellion) – We loved the last volume which featured various war stories and we’re excited for more!

The Big Burn #2 (DSTLRY) – The first issue was a lot of fun as a team is brought together to steal their souls back from the Devil.

Black Lightning #1 (DC Comics) – The series focuses on Black Lightning’s new role of seeking out new metahumans and training them.

Dark Empty Void #2 (Mad Cave Studios) – The first issue was very intriguing as a psychologist is called in to deal with a mysterious woman who has walked out of a black hole.

G.I. JOE #1 (Skybound) – This is it! All of the mini-series have been building to this. The JOEs come together and have their first clash with Cobra!

The Other Side of Tomorrow (Harper Alley) – A graphic novel about escaping North Korea to freedom.

Power Rangers Prime #1 (BOOM! Studios) – It’s described as the “Ultimate Universe” take on the Power Rangers… you have our attention.

Psylocke #1 (Marvel) – Psylocke gets the spotlight in a solo series!

Space Ghost #7 (Dynamite) – One of the best comics out there right now. It’s been a great combo of ongoing story and one-shot enjoyment and shocking life into the classic property.

The Terminator #2 (Dynamite) – The first issue caught us off guard and was so good. A series that moves the Terminator franchise beyond the Connors has us excited for where it can all go.

Transformers #14 (Skybound) – The second part of Starscream’s origin! And more importantly, his fate revealed!

Ultimate X-Men #9 (Marvel) – We want to know what’s up with the mutants in this new Ultimate Universe!

X-Men: The Manga Remastered Vol. 1 (VIZ Media) – We honestly had no idea this was a thing so beyond excited to check it out!

FML #1 (Dark Horse Comics) – A group of metal kids who face a medley of bizarre foes and encounters in Portland, Oregon during a worldwide pandemic. By Kelly Sue DeConnick? Yeah, this is a must read.

JSA #1 (DC Comics) – Jeff Lemire takes on the JSA… nuff said.

Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1 (Marvel) – The animated character that debuted in Marvel Studios’ What If…? makes her comic debut!

Little Batman: Month One #1 (DC Comics) – A comic sequel to the awesome animated film Merry Little Batman. We want more of this world!

One For Sorrow #1 (DSTLRY) – Jamie McKelvie solo project! Jamie McKelvie solo project!

Rome Eternal #1 (Magma Comix) – This is a world where the Roman Empire never fell… now it stands on the brink of collapse.

Power Rangers: Across the Morphin Grid #1 (BOOM! Studios) – The Power Ranger actors write stories for their characters. A pretty cool, and fun, idea.

Sectaurs #1 (Oni Press) – The classic property is back in the latest release from the Nacelleverse.

Sesame Street #3 (Oni Press) – The series has been great at capturing the feel of the beloved television show.

ThunderCats #9 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Cheetara comes across Mu’Tants while scouting and must get back and warn everyone while battling against Slithe’s forces!

Ultimate X-Men #8 (Marvel) – What are mutants? Where do they come from? And how has the Maker’s Council been keeping them under control? We want to know!!!

Uncanny Valley #6 (BOOM! Studios) – Dive into the cartoonist’s desk for a look back at the origins of the cartoon world.

The Boxer Vol. 8 (VIZ Media) – The series has been amazing as it’s not about the boxers but their backgrounds and styles. This volume is the most comedic of them all, standing out for such a shift in tone.

The Feeding (Image Comics) – Nolan Ward has done everything to forget his disturbing past. Drinking. Drugs. Day-trading. Sex. And still, that past has caught up with him in the form of a twisted painting called The Feeding… The crowdfunded comic comes to shops!

The Goon: Them That Don’t Stay Dead #3 (Dark Horse) – The Goon is always fun with a horror meets Popeye vibe.

The Horizon Experiment: Sacred Damned #1 (Image Comics) – Sabir Pirzada and Michael Walsh are next up in this anthology series. With a story that re-examines modern horror.

Iron Man #1 (DC Comics) – Iron Man is back with a new series that has him taking on Roxxon and AIM.

The Moon is Following Us #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue introduced us to a strange fantasy world with parents fighting to get their daughter back!

Nullhunter #1 (Image Comics) – A cyberpunk retelling of the Labors of Hercules.

The Power Fantasy #3 (Image Comics) – The series is receiving praise and kudos and is one comic fans shouldn’t be missed!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #3 (IDW Publishing) – Each issue of this new series has been catching us up with individual Turtles. This one is Leonardo who is traveling the world in search of peace.
