Haunted Miami Listings and a Marriage on the Rocks, Red Light Properties: Unfinished Business is Available Now

Kinjin Storylab presents Red Light Properties: Unfinished Business, a 340-page, full-color oversized hardcover collecting the first season of Dan Goldman’s cult-favorite tropical horror series, now available in standard and deluxe slipcase editions.

Written, illustrated, designed, and published by Goldman, Red Light Properties is a sun-bleached, trippy tropical horror where reported hauntings are rising faster than the property values, and only the Psychedelic Shamanism of a tiny Miami Beach real estate agency stands against the evils of late-stage American capitalism.

In a tourist trap where every listing hides a ghost story, Red Light Properties blends legit scares with humor, heart, and satire to tell a slow-burn epic that occupies a space all its own. Reflecting Kinjin Storylab’s ethos, it’s a design-forward series built for readers of mature graphic novels, psychedelic and visionary art books, and anyone drawn to sharp, character-driven narratives.

Jude Tobin is a psychic who sees ghosts. His realtor wife Cecilia, sees an opportunity. As Red Light Properties, he exorcises haunted homes across South Florida, then she sells them at a discount to renters shut out of the housing market. They’re using shamanism to carve their own niche in the real estate market while hacking it for the rest of us.

But after six years of struggling to keep their business afloat and raise their son, their marriage is starting to buckle. In the spirit world, Jude is peerless, getting unquiet ghosts to move on, but here in reality, Cecilia’s stuck running literally every other goddamn aspect of their business that drains them both of every drop of lifeforce.

What was their shot at the American Dream now feels like a curse, unraveling listing by listing, while around them, sea levels rise, the economy is tanking, the rich get greedier, and somehow, Miami feels more haunted than ever before.

Bending the sleazy stress of Better Call Saul with the paranormal terror of The ConjuringRed Light Properties carves out its own space within horror comics: high-stakes character-driven stories that tackle big ideas about love and loss, the afterlife, and why people go to Florida to die.

The oversized hardcover is available in both a standard and deluxe slipcase edition. Red Light Properties: Unfinished Business is packed from cover to cover with story, art, and worldbuilding, including over 100 pages of previously unpublished work, plus 50 new pages of epistolary worldbuilding.

Exclusive: Dive into Stephan Franck’s process behind Palomino Volume 6

Endings are hard, but noir endings are murder. Cartoonist and award-nominated animator, writer, and director Stephan Franck and his company Dark Planet Comics are finally cracking the case in Palomino Volume 6. The ambitious, Ringo Award-Nominated series chronicles the lost culture of Los Angeles’ country music clubs and throws readers into a pulse-pounding, decades-spanning mystery. The series deftly blends hard boiled noir and Western aesthetics to explore Los Angeles’ weird and forgotten history with an unforgettable cast of working musicians, TV actors, stuntmen, cops, hustlers, and broken souls. The saga’s stunning swan song is now live on Kickstarter

A captivating neo-noir crime mystery, Palomino begins in 1981 Los Angeles, where readers meet Eddie Lang, an old-school, hardboiled former Burbank PD detective juggling his 6-nights-a-week gig in the Palomino house band, his P.I. business, and his teenage daughter, Liz–who might even be more hardboiled than he is! Father and daughter share a killer sense of humor and an unbreakable bond, but tragedy looms large over their past. A brand new case that’s hitting a little too close to home upends their lives, sending them each down very dangerous paths. Ultimately, the unsolved mystery haunts LIz into adulthood. In 1995, she’s working as a reporter when a routine assignment opens old wounds and Liz embarks on one final odyssey,  where every secret will be revealed and all scores settled. To survive the night, Liz must confront the ghosts of her past and, maybe – just maybe – emerge on the other side reborn and free.

We have an exclusive look at Stephan Franck’s process in creating Palomino Volume 6. Check it out and back the Kickstarter before it ends!

Get an early look at Memories of Giselle

Rising star cartoonist Katia Vecchio will make her Image Comics debut with the forthcoming original graphic novel, Memories of Giselle hitting shelves this summer. This highly anticipated, hard-hitting tale, inspired by true events, will captivate readers with its tender exploration of coming-of-age while coming-to-terms with trauma.

Memories of Giselle is a haunting, deeply compassionate Bildungsroman. It explores the slippery nature of memory, the psychological wounds we walk with, and the fierce, quiet bravery required to reclaim a life shaped by trauma.

As the Memories of Giselle unfolds with quiet inevitability, a brother and sister move through the fragile terrain of a childhood marked by hidden abuse, silence, and loss. Giselle is pursued by the memory of her late grandmother and by a single, recurring image—an empty boat—an emblem of the truth she has spent years repressing. As adolescence draws her into the bewildering realms of desire, vulnerability, and trust, the fractured pieces of her past begin to align, revealing a story long buried and the shadow it has cast over her and her brother’s present-day lives.

Memories of Giselle (ISBN: 9781534330757, Lunar Code: 0426IM0290) will be available in trade paperback at local comic book shops on Wednesday, June 17 and independent bookstores, BookshopAmazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, July 14.

The Mortal Thor Faces a Trial of the Gods with the Fate of Asgard at Stake

In a world without a God of Thunder, lightning still strikes! This August, writer Al Ewing and artist Pasqual Ferry celebrate 800 issues of Thor with a special anniversary issue that pits Sigurd Jarlson, the Mortal Thor, up against The Serpent’s most heinous test yet. With the fate of the Ten Realms hanging in the balance and no superpowers or enchanted hammers to wield, Sigurd’s quest to prove himself worthy and restore life to the forgotten god of Asgard will set the stage for the third act of Ewing’s mythos-shaking THOR saga.

At the end of Ewing’s Immortal Thor, the God of Thunder met his fate and died as a sacrifice to power a spell by his sibling Loki. This spell saw Thor forgotten by those who knew him and the rest of the Asgardians seemingly forever severed from the realm of Midgard. But the story continued in Mortal Thor, as a new hero rose on the streets of New York City, a hero with no powers, just a determination to right wrongs—with a hammer. Seeking a normal life but forced to step into the fray, Sigurd Jarlson found himself beset by threats from Thor’s past including the vicious Donald Blake, aka The Serpent, and Mr. Hyde. Sigurd’s encounters with these villains have led him closer to uncovering the mystery tying him to the missing Asgardian God of Thunder, with a pivotal moment set to take place in August’s issue of Mortal Thor.

Mortal Thor #14/LGY #800 will also include anniversary stories from rising star writer Chris Condon and artist Jesse Lonergan, plus the return of fan-favorite Thor and Journey Into Mystery scribe Kieron Gillen.

AN ASGARDIAN MILESTONE: THOR #800!

The Serpent has trapped Sigurd Jarlson in the worst of all possible worlds for his greatest trial. Now, without even a weapon in his hand, he must prove himself worthy to enter the Realms of the Gods. Somewhere in the city, a man without even a hammer begins the ultimate quest…the quest for Thor!

Check out the covers for Mortal Thor #14/LGY #800 including the main image by Alex Ross, variant cover by Ryan Stegman, and interior pages by Pasqual Ferry below.
