Hiroaki Sakurai will be a guest at Otakon 2025. He is a freelance scriptwriter and episode director.

Starting with titles such as “Cyber Team in Akihabara the Movie” and “UFO Baby,” he has also worked as the director on numerous anime series, such as “The Disastrous Life of Saiki K,” “The Demon Girl Next Door,” and “Mewkledreamy.” His most recent work as a director is the upcoming series, “The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess.”

He is excited to make his return to Otakon since his last appearance in 2000.

Otakon 2025 will be held from August 8-10, 2025 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
