Don McGregor

Ithacon has announced that Don McGregor will be a special guest for the first time at Ithacon 48. McGregor, best known for his innovative Black Panther comics and passionate writing, will be appearing at the long -running convention. McGregor made his mark on comics writing memorable comics series featuring Zorro and Marvel’s Killraven, a character spun out of H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds. McGregor also created and co-created characters and series such as Detectives, Inc., Lady Rawhide, Ragamuffins, and Nathanial Dusk.

McGregor’s most notable projects range from James Bond to writing characters for The Batman. He has even created his own series, Sabre, one of the very first graphic novels. Both Jungle Action’s Black Panther and Sabre introduced mature characters in ground-breaking story lines.

Beyond comics, McGregor’s prose books include Dragonflame and Other Bedtime Nightmares and The Variable Syndrome.

Ithacon takes place April 5 to April 6 at Ithaca College’s Campus Center.
