Carlos Pacheco has passed away after a battle with ALS

News broke this morning that comic artist and penciller Carlos Pacheco has passed away. Pachecho is known for his work on such series as Superman, Green Lantern, Captain America, X-Men, Arrowsmith: Behind Enemy Lines, and more. He was a few days shy of his birthday.
Born in 1961 and from Spain, Pacheco started in the industry drawing covers for Spanish translations of Marvel comics. He eventually got work on Marvel UK which lead to more Marvel work.
In 2009, he siged an exclusive contract with Marvel after having worked with DC as well.
In September, Pacheco revealed he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, it’s a neurodegenerative disease that results in the loss of motor neurons that control voluntary muscles. There is no known cure with life expectancy about 2 to 4 years after prognosis.
