Cong. John Lewis’ March to Become an Animated Series
Charleston Immersive & Interactive Media has optioned Top Shelf‘s March for adaptation into an animated series. The company will also create interactive educational products.
March is a trilogy of graphic novels chronically Congressman John Lewis‘ experiences during the Civil Rights movement. The graphic novels cover Lewis’ early years through his first hand accounts of his time in the Civil Rights movement and also juxtaposed with his attending the inauguration of President Obama. The graphic novel is written by Lewis and Andrew Aydin and features art by Nate Powell. All three will be producers of the upcoming series.
The first two volumes of the graphic novel series have been released and the third will be released this year. A modern masterpiece the graphic novels have been nominated and received numerous awards as well as becoming required reading in schools and being worked into school curriculum.
