Review: X’ed #2

Ex-military sharpshooter turned “subliminal hitman” Colin McClure travels deeper into a psychotherapy patient’s mind than he ever has before, discovering new and increasingly perilous regions of the mindverse. Breakout creative team Tony Patrick and Ayhan Hayrula continue to blow minds with this newest installment in their psychedelic action saga.
The first issue of X’ed was strange, this is issue is stranger. Colin continues his strange journey into the mind of the client. In the real world the facility becomes infiltrated. Who sent the singular infiltrator is unknown? Even the reason why is unknown.
The art is surreal, yet realistic in the real world. In contrast the world of the mind is strange, complex, and run more by the imagination than the rules of physics. That sort of works for it, as it helps bolster the surreal idea of diving into another person’s mind.
