IDW Comes to Sequential Graphic Novel App
IDW Publishing has announced that its graphic novels will become available on the Sequential iPad app, with the first tranche of titles released today. IDW’s Top Shelf imprint has been on Sequential for a while now, so it’s only logical IDW would be added.
Founded in 1999, IDW is renowned for its diverse catalogue of licensed and independent comics and graphic novels, publishing some of the most successful and popular titles in the industry.
Sequential was launched in August 2013 and showcases the world’s best publishers of graphic novels including Fantagraphics, Dark Horse, Top Shelf, Knockabout, SelfMadeHero, NBM, Secret Acres, Myriad Editions and Blank Slate Books, as well as a number of small press publishers and creator-owned works.
Often considered as a “coffee table” app because of its high quality and curated approach, Sequential features the latest graphic novels and includes exclusive work by top names such as Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman, often with expanded features such as audio commentaries.
Released today in conjunction with the announcement is the first tranche of specially- selected titles from IDW, including Locke & Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, Richard Stark’s Parker, George R. R. Martin’s Doorways, Fishtown by Kevin Colden, Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary’s Beowulf, and The Comic Book History of Comics by Fred Van Lente and Ryan Dunlavey. Many more titles will follow.
