Former Mr. Universe, Star of Popular ‘Hulk’ Series to Attend Event, January 28-29 At Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
NEW YORK and NEW ORLEANS, December 19, 2011 – Lou Ferrigno, best known for his role in the television series “The Incredible Hulk,” will attend Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, January 28-29, 2012, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Ferrigno, a former Mr. Universe who this year was presented with the Arnold Schwarzenegger Lifetime Achievement Award, is a fan favorite at Wizard World events.
Ferrigno starred for five seasons as the Hulk, opposite Bill Bixby’s Dr. Bruce Banner, in the show based on the popular Marvel comic, co-created by Stan Lee, who will also be in attendance in New Orleans. Ferrigno has appeared in numerous other movies and TV series, including the reboot of “Hulk” in 1996 and in a recurring role in hit “The King of Queens.”
More recently, Ferrigno has run a successful personal training business that includes such star clientele as Mickey Rourke, Michael Jackson, and Chuck Norris, which led him to author the book “Lou Ferrigno’s Guide to Personal Power, Bodybuilding and Fitness for Everyone.” Ferrigno continues his regular study of acting and he works out daily, all with the same passion and vigor that made him a household name and established him as one of the most sought-after entertainers in the business.
In addition to Ferrigno and Lee, other standout celebrity guests also scheduled to attend New Orleans Comic Con are William Shatner, Adam Baldwin, Mary McDonnell, James Marsters, Michael Biehn, WWE® Diva Kelly Kelly™ and WWE® Superstar Zack Ryder™. New Orleans Comic Con is the first stop on Wizard World’s 2012 North American tour. Hours are Saturday, January 28, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, January 29, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets are available in advance online at http://www.wizardworldcomiccon.com/neworleans.html at a savings over tickets purchased at the door. Advance adult single-day tickets are priced at $25 ($30 on site); weekend all-session tickets are $40 ($45 on site), and tickets are free for children age 10 and under when accompanied by a paid adult (limit two children per adult). VIP packages with special entry and exclusive items are also available on a limited basis.
