It was a bright spot for the troubled Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, but it topped Wicked as the highest-grossing show on Broadway show last week.  Spider ko’ed the show by $58.  The show grossed $1,588,514 compared to Wicked‘s $1,588,456.

The theater Spider-Man is running has 1,930 seats compared to Wicked’s 1,809 and due to it’s long running status Wicked has much better experience on how to get top dollar for it’s fewer seats.

So, they got that going for them.  Which is good.
