Action Comics #1 Back on Top
2010 will be known as the year that records were shattered. For a third time, the most valuable comic book in the world has switched. On Monday a copy of 8.5 graded copy of Action Comics #1 sold for $1.5 million.
In February, an 8.0 graded version of the copy sold for $1 million, sparking this arms race for records.
The comic produced in 1938 survived the years sandwiched in between magazine pages which allowed it to stay in such good condition.
The name of the purchaser hasn’t been released.
