Werewolf By Night is unleashed after Blood Hunt with a “Red Band” series!

This summer, Werewolf By Night embarks on new adventures so violent and bloody, it can only be told in Marvel’s new Red Band format!

Werewolf By Night, Jack Russell’s new solo ongoing series, will be written by Jason Loo, writer of the upcoming Werewolf By Night: Blood Hunt one-shot, and drawn by artist Sergio Dávila, known for his bold work on titles like Venom and Thor. Marvel’s premier horror icon will undergo a startling transformation during Blood Hunt that will cause his upcoming battles and hunts to be too graphic for some readers. Labeled with a Parental Advisory and polybagged to keep those weak of heart from experiencing its intensity, Werewolf By Night will mark a new chapter in the character’s 50-year storytelling history as Jack gets his claws, fangs, and fur blood-soaked like never before!

FULL MOON RISE – WEREWOLF KILL! Jack Russell has been trying to live a simple life – but in the deadly and dramatic wake of the Blood Hunt, his life is about to be turned upside down in ways he never imagined! With new enemies hoping to extract a (literal) pound of flesh and Jack unsure if he can be trusted around old allies and a lost love, the original WEREWOLF BY NIGHT is in for the fight of his life…and he’s in it alone!

Feel The Chill as Werewolf By Night and Morbius Enter Marvel Contest of Champions

A month full of thrills and chills looms ahead as Kabam unveiled two new Champions to its popular mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions – man by day and Werewolf By Night joins along with the living vampire, Morbius! Players can watch the two prowl the night and lurk in the shadows as they battle it out in an all-new Champion Reveal Trailer “Champions of the Damned.” With over 250 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other classic Super Heroes and Villains from Blade and Man-Thing to Elsa Bloodstone and more.

This month also brings many treats as Kabam prepares to host their first-ever LIVE fan celebration event and tournament – Battlerealm Brawl – taking place in the Vancouver area at The Gaming Stadium (Richmond, BC) on October 20 and 21! Fans can acquire tickets for free to attend in person or tune into Kabam’s Twitch as they Livestream the tournament that weekend.

Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

Something runs afoul in The Battlerealm swamp! Join Midnight Sons veterans Blade and Elsa Bloodstone as they investigate disappearances linked to the quagmire landscape. Meet with WEREWOLF BY NIGHT and a cast of monstrous curiosities as the mysteries of the wetlands reveal themselves and the diabolical machinations of the maligned genius MORBIUS begin to come into focus. Can this team expose the truth and put to rest the chaos manifesting itself and rescue those who have been wronged by the Living Vampire?

CHARACTER BIOS

Upon inheriting the curse of lycanthropy on his 18th birthday, Jack Russell began his lifelong struggle with his werewolf alter-ego. Always pursued by beast hunters, criminals and other creatures alike, Jack regularly fights against those who seek to control his werewolf persona for their own purposes. Over time, Jack came to accept the beast within him and gained the ability to transform at will, only feeling the urge to transform on night of the full moon, thus becoming the Werewolf By Night.

In a hopeless attempt to cure his rare blood disease, Dr. Michael Morbius mutated himself with vampire bat DNA only to become a bloodthirsty pseudo-Vampire. Now he must fight a losing battle to overcome his insatiable desire to drink blood, which sustains his powerful monstrous form.

Set your reminders! Werewolf By Night arrives in-game on Oct. 12 and Morbius on Oct. 26. In the meantime, players can now see the two battle it out in the all-new Champion Reveal trailer and catch up on The Battlerealm with character Deep Dive and Special Moves content on the official MARVEL Contest of Champions YouTube channel.

Other Marvel Contest of Champions updates, including bug fixes, balance updates, Halloween themed events including My Little Symbiote, Blood Moon, and more can be found HERE.

Kill More #1

Wednesdays (and Tuesdays) are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.

Alligator Loki #1 (Marvel) – The hit character’s digital comic gets a print version.

Avengers Inc. #1 (Marvel) – Janet Van Dyne leads a new team solving mysteries as they hunt a killer.

Batman and Robin #1 (DC Comics) – Damian and Batman are back together again facing a new villain that watches from the shadows.

Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 (DC Comics) – Rafael Grampa’s twisted vision of both the Dark Knight and the city of Gotham. Nuff said.

Dark Ride #8 (Image Comics) – It’s the end of the latest arc and it’s the showdown between Halloween and Sam as the winner will control the future of the Dante family and Devil Land! We’re loving this horror series.

Incredible Hulk #4 (Marvel) – This new run has been fantastic taking the character deep in his horror roots.

Kill More #1 (IDW Publishing) – The first issue is a fun one about a run down city filled with killers and an overworked cop. Check out our review!
