Hit that Omnitrix and get ready for a special release this October from Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, with theBen 10: Creator Filescomic book bringing fans behind the scenes of the latest smash hit series!
Following the fabulous fifth issue’s release in September with the debut of Grey Matter and conclusion of Ben’s first encounter with Zombozo, the main series takes a pause ahead of the next arc kicking off in November. To tide fans over and offer something unique, the Man of Action team and series artist Robert Carey alongside expert editor Matt Idelson have teamed up on the ultimate behind the scenes tour on the series so far.
With the same format and pricing of a standard entry in the series, the Creator Files shows Ben 10‘s fans what it takes to create an issue. A feature breaks down the major stages of comics creation, from the writer’s script, to Carey‘s artwork, Ren Spiller‘s addition of colors, Taylor Esposito‘s lettering, and assembling it all together into the page readers receive.
Features originally presented in the rare and sought-after ashcan will now be shared with all fans, including a special interview with writer Joe Casey as well as a batch of character sketches showcasing Carey’s earliest work on the franchise in preparation for drawing the first issue.
Dynamite is opening the vault and including even more of Carey’s designs and sketches, many of which have never been shown publicly. Previewing upcoming storylines, this will be the exclusive debut of designs for the next classic villain!
The Creator Files will be rounded out with gallery style pinups of some of the stellar variant covers from the series, as well as even more in-continuity ephemera that will delight fans!
Fans can opt for either the Robert Carey or Duncan Rouleau covers for Ben 10: Creator Files, both of which show multiple stages of their artistic process on one of their already iconic covers from the series. Writer Joe Casey will also be signing a limited number of copies available for retailers and fans to order.
Ignition Press revealed the news at ComicsPRO’s Annual Meeting in February of this year that three superstar creators would be working with the publisher: New York Times bestselling author, screenwriter, and pro wrestling legend AJ Mendez; actress, director, screenwriter, and producer Aimee Garcia; and showrunner, screenwriter, and producer Ildy Modrovich.
As part of the Ignition Sequence leading up to Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), Ignition Press has revealed that this trio has co-created a brand-new comic series, East Side Saints. It will debut in mid-2027.
Fifteen-year-old Alex Gomez isn’t legally allowed to see R-rated movies without an adult, but she’s just inherited the family’s demon-hunting business. Armed with a bruja (witch) Abuelita and zero training, this irresponsible Latina teen must battle monsters on the streets of East LA… but a family secret will make things even more difficult for her. This is East Side Saints: a coming-of rage story.
The three co-creators’ vision is being brought to life by artist Amilcar Pinna and colorist Amanda Grazini, the pair currently working on Sicko with writer Tini Howard.
Mendez and Garcia co-founded Scrappy Heart Productions, which is dedicated to elevating diverse perspectives with universal themes and making underdogs the heroes of their own stories across all media. The pair have previously co-written the comic series Day of the Dead Girl from Magma Comics and IDW Comic’s GLOW and Dungeons & Dragons. After making Lucifer one of Netflix’s highest streamed series of all time and a beloved fan-favorite franchise, this will be Modrovich’s first comic book series.
The three co-creators will appear at Comic-Con International for an exclusive signing on Saturday, July 25th at from 3:30pm – 4:30pm in room 33C. This free, ticketed event will have 120 tickets available through the SDCC mobile portal in accordance with their signing lottery policy. Interested fans need simply need to login into their SDCC Member ID and allocate credits toward the signing lottery. A FAQ can be found HERE. Tickets include an exclusive print by Amilcar Pinna, which the creators of East Side Saints will sign in addition to one extra item. Selfies are allowed.

The National Atomic Testing Museum has announced it will bring history, gaming and pop culture together during a featured panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 24, exploring how Fallout, one of the world’s most iconic video game franchises, became the inspiration for an innovative museum experience. Hosted by the National Atomic Testing Museum in partnership with Bethesda Game Studios, Bethesda Softworks, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), the discussion will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. and offer attendees an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creation and future of the museum’s acclaimed “World of Fallout” exhibit. The panel will take place in Room 9 at the San Diego Convention Center.
Titled “Making the World of Fallout at the Atomic Museum,” the panel will examine how authentic Cold War history inspired the Fallout universe and how that fictional world, in turn, has inspired new audiences to engage with real history. Representatives from the National Atomic Testing Museum, Bethesda Game Studios, and UNLV will share how they transformed an ambitious idea into an exhibit that connects science, history and pop culture while expanding the museum’s reach to gamers, television viewers and longtime fans of the franchise.
The National Atomic Testing Museum will discuss the vision behind “World of Fallout,” including how the exhibit interprets real atomic history through the lens of contemporary entertainment and why the museum embraced an unconventional approach to historical storytelling. Bethesda Game Studios will provide insight into the partnership’s origins, why collaborating with the National Atomic Testing Museum was a natural fit for the Fallout franchise and how the exhibit continues to evolve. UNLV’s Entertainment Engineering and Design program will showcase how students helped bring key exhibit elements to life while gaining hands-on experience through a fast-paced, real-world creative project that bridged classroom learning with professional practice.
Moderated by Michelle Helms, director of communications for the National Atomic Testing Museum, the panel will feature:
Scott Wade, author and vice chairman of the National Atomic Testing Museum
Matt Malinowski, director of exhibits and engagement for the National Atomic Testing Museum
Matt Clinkscales, associate vice president of global marketing for Bethesda Game Studios
Jessica Finster, senior director of community for Bethesda Softworks
Michael Genova, director of UNLV’s Entertainment Engineering and Design program.
Attendees will also receive an exclusive preview of the major expansion planned for the“World of Fallout” exhibit later this year.
Dedicated to preserving the history associated with the Nevada Test Site, now known as the Nevada National Security Sites, and the nation’s nuclear weapons program, the National Atomic Testing Museum continues to find innovative ways to connect history with contemporary culture. Its partnership with Bethesda Game Studios demonstrates how museums can use beloved entertainment franchises to spark curiosity about real-world events, while its collaboration with UNLV highlights the power of experiential education to prepare the next generation of designers, engineers and creative professionals. Together, the three organizations have created a project that bridges history, education and entertainment in ways that resonate with modern audiences.
